6:12 just wanna add, about twitch: its mainly because the insane amount of network fees in Korea. Netflix got this too for having popular shows like squid game, but obviously Netflix is much bigger than twitch. They tried to sue on 2020 then drop the lawsuit around september 2023 and decided to make a deal with SK Broadband (the ISP company) instead. its not necessarily about twitch being strict or not.

People that were around KZbin at that time, there was a comradery after everyone banned together and idubbz dropped the content cop on leafy. This was right around the time KZbin was getting major ad sponsors, and so KZbin eventually started getting push back from sponsors and eventually they made it so ethans, ians, and keems kind of content wasnt allowed anymore, technically it could be considered bullying. KZbin evolved past the kind of stuff they were doing. A lot of that era of content wouldnt be allowed on KZbin, especially with him saying the NF word combo.

I was reeaally hoping to see Gokanaru on the podcast! I know this can sound pretty cringe or whatever but it isn't often I feel like a video could be super important to show my 13 and 15 year old boys yet the Sneako one was soooo good. Style wise it hits their dopamine hungry zoomer brains perfectly but the most important aspect I think for them is it feels like someone who not just knows his shit but manages to make everyone mentioned justifiably look like an absolute dumbass and WHY they are dumbasses. From what I pick up while actively avoiding that side of the internet the whole "W" and "L" wave is dying off. Still, that mentality is now steeped into their super absorbent brains so they even moreso than any other opinion-forming age look for who has the W and who has the L. Hence, a video like Gokanaru's is one that can actually prevent beliefs that will without a doubt affect them in early adulthood from ever grabbing hold. I glaze the fuck out of that video any chance I get cause from the parental side of things I can't say enough how much videos like his can be such a useful tool for longer, bigger discussion that shape teen boys into young men. I have a couple of girls too and their issues as teens will undoubtedly be way more obvious and tearfilled (I fucking remember mine dude) but they are also soooo much less insidious than those for teenage boys (in terms of how aware the average parent is to them). That clip of the boys spouting Sneakos bullshit back to him was chilling, dude. And 99% sure their parents either have no clue who Sneako is OR that they watch him at all. And Gokanaru dude if you read this novel of a comment you're hitting the nail on the head with the resentment stuff. I think a couple of livesteams back you touched on it but resementments to people, institutions, or ideas shape most of our personal defects as a whole. Ten year member of AA here and will never stop saying how much everyone could benefit from learning how to personally reflect each night on how resenments shaped the day and if any new ones came up. It shouldn't be something we're taught after the fact, if shit gets bad enough. Do it early. Just like exercise its easier to maintain if the starting point is from a more healthy place.

One thing I’ll say here since I feel like it isn’t mentioned enough when it comes to cuties: it was originally a novel, which I admittedly haven’t read, that is very much against putting minors in such situations, like that is the whole point of the book, and doing a live action adaptation of it with real kids just misses the fucking point of that by *miles*
