The one thing I highly admire you for is that you appreciate the smallest things, it is so great to see. Like you seeing the fish swim away, or when the 2 ducks came near you guys. You recognize the small things for what they are and don't take anything for granted. Love that.

Hi Kelly & Gabe enjoy your channel I’m from Western Australia. Have a lot of things we do fishing hunting from over here. We don’t return invasive species when we fish which thankfully we have few. Enjoy catching them but keep them & enjoy eating them. If every one does this maybe can control little by little these species in your waterway & having fun catching them.

After a very heavy rain, if ANY vehicle runs through grass or sod of any kind when it's that soggy or flooded, it will leave ruts behind, and those ruts remain for days, even weeks, until the grass roots eventually fill the ruts back out evenly. We've done tons of jobs, where those ruts already existed, and I got to the point that I always bring it to the attention of a home or property owner before I have to drive or park on it........that way, they can't blame ME for those ruts, lol. And you'd be surprised how many of them will try to blame you for it.

Usually, for any freshwater, it doesn't matter that the day is warmer & nicer, if a cold front has just moved through a day or two earlier. Most times, it'll take a good several days of stable weather AFTER a cold front has moved through, for the fish to start biting again. Ya may catch a very few, if any at all........but cold fronts really do shut the freshwater fishing down for several days or more. I love fishing for giant trophy bass in the cooler months here in east/central Florida. I use large live wild shiners AND artificials. But if a cold front has just moved through, I won't even bother going for at least 4 to 7 days. After several or more days after a cold front, it can still be rather cold outside ( here in Florida anyway......say the upper 50's to mid 60's ), so long as the weather has remained STABLE long after a cold front has passed, the fish will usually start biting again. But warmer weather is a bonus during our colder months. But again, AFTER several or more days has passed from the previous cold front. I learned that from all the trophy bass fishing guides years ago. If ya really wanna get out of the house, that's fine.......but don't expect any decent fishing immediately after a cold front.
