The pain i feel still til this day is allies killing wards on dragon/baron while there is a control ward cancelling out the vision. Fyi hitting a ward REVEALS you. Smh

The area where you targeted your hawkshot will give *MORE TIME* of vision when it arrives/explodes. Thus, making TSM Chimes' hawkshots less useful. Can't believe most of the comments also don't know what sneaky was saying 💀💀

The first time the hawk shot gets sent, he doesnt know the enemy posisitioning, therefore it actually makes sense to shoot it past baron because he is seconds away from putting the ward down As for the other shots. Idk

I think everyone knows you can short shoot ashe E, I think many people think therefore they should compensate by shooting it as far away as possible and rely on that traveling vision.

lmao that’s only ever a valid reason if they were still in laning phase and you’re trying to scout the enemy jg camps to know where they are pathing. If you or anyone think that application is viable and optimal in their current scenario in the game, they are stupid as fuck. There is absolutely 0 justification for why you’d shoot it over them and not At them. He’s either incapable of optimizing his reasoning skills in a pro setting (he won’t get anywhere) or he genuinely has no prediction skills whatsoever and actually believes they might’ve gone where the hawkshot explodes for vision (which is also wild and a sign he should be tested)

@@aleoxios yea exactly, but go back and watch any Ashe game and notice something important (and remember it’s not a huge deal but it’s the reason sneaky was livid): When you see a pro adc play Ashe, in the early game when they use hawk shot to reveal the enemy jg, notice how they don’t just shoot it off screen past top lane, they always shoot it directly between blue buff and gromp, because the end location is revealed for 5 seconds, if the enemy jungler IS there, you would want more vision of that. It’s a small difference but that’s the whole point, Chime wants vision of baron, so he shoots his shot past baron, and sure if someone’s behind baron he gets to see them for a second but if baron is your main objective obviously the end location should be baron so you get more than a glimpse of it

With Ashe you get a chose between throwing the hawk as far as possible from bot lane to see where there jungler is, depending on their current path when u consider where ur own jgler is and if there are main objectives up, u choose where u should throw it. Or like Sneaky said, u explode it by the objectives to get a longer vision time, especially in moments like TSM had.

Totally triggered, rightful so. They have tooltips in game, you can READ the ability the only time you never reactivate the ability is when your trying get a general idea of where someone might be. Objectives like dragon or baron should always be reactivated over them.

ive probably known how hawkshot works before but i just re remembered the other day (ive been playing for 14 years). With all the other abilites in the game now I feel like I don't remember small interactions anymore because I can't afford to I just need to know what everyone's main objective is. I think the game has become very fiesta like even at the pro level because of this, people get caught by some stupid little interaction cuz its just impossible to remember them all.

i shoot it past objective all the time so i can see where everyone else is on the map. Yes i can shoot it 10 feet away and get vision of that for 5 seconds or if i know their whole team is coming from base onto baron you shoot it past to see exactly where they are on the map. Idk but that was my interpretation of the first shot.

It's a bit different in competitive because the only vision that matters when contesting Dragon/Baron is the river outside of the pit. There are other brushes around but knowing who is at the pit is enough to know how to approach the river, and the longer the vision lingers the better. If they see 3 people at Baron, they know they can safely approach as 5 to create space in the river. If they see nobody at Baron, they know they can't step up safely but they also know there is no threat of Baron dying so they can push mid out instead. As long as the vision lingers the enemy can't really do anything because you can always react in the best way. If you shoot the hawk over the river, you might see 3 on Baron but as you approach they could all just pull off and stack in pixel brush to get a pick. These kind of things don't happen in solo queue because nobody plays cohesively as a team so you literally have no idea what people are gonna do, but even then I would argue that having 5 seconds of vision outside of the Baron/Dragon pit is worth a lot more than maybe seeing someone in their jungle.

Sneaky doesn't know how Hawkshot works. He's an ADC player and not a support player. When you Hawkshot where you want to see, you will only see that one spot. If you Hawkshot the other side of the map *_CROSSING_* where you want to see, you get to see that one spot *_AND_* the maximum possible global amount of vision beyond it.
