How cool. I fired a Remington Model 700 ( M24) on the Ft. Hunter Liggett range. I was a combat lifesaver supporting a sniper team while they practiced. Since I volunteered to use my own time they let me shoot. I actually hit the target three out of three times from 600 yards. It was more of the rifle than me.

Love this scene, and it while it shows how 'sneaky' a Sniper can be, it would also be breaking two Cardinal Rules of being a Sniper. (A) Maintain Ballistic Advantage - staying far enough away the other guy can't easily shoot you, while you still are in range to effectively engage targets, and (B) Never Leave a Trace - which is hammered home to use in Sniper School, not even a footprint if you can help it, definitely NOT a cheeseburger wrapper.
