More precisely, they don't want to be associated with a case with this level of notoriety. Being representatives of their professional field, if they were to accept payment to testify in her favour, they would need to be damn sure their argument was waterproof and believable. As it stands, nobody wants to jeopardize their career to say "she has Battered Woman Syndrome", when doing so would most likely damage not only their own credibility, but the credibility of the diagnosis itself, as well as their entire field of expertise. Maybe someone would do it for a big enough paycheck, but one of the stated reasons they can't find anyone willing to testify is that the compensation being offered is simply too low.

When it comes to computers, phones, or any device deleting something, the data is never actually deleted. It's not that there is micro-data, it's that it was never removed in the first place. Essentially, it is not worth it for any device to erase the data, just to say it's not there anymore. If it tried to actually erase it, it would have to zero out the places in memory where it's kept, while not incredibly intensive the operation would waste resources that could be better used for other processes. As a consequence devices will just advertise the memory as available to be written to and delete references to what was there. When the police or other agencies get your device they simply need to go through all of the memory and look for places that have data regardless if they are marked available. So remember nothing on any device is truly deleted, unless you manually zero out the memory, or destroy the device but that's also not a guarantee. Source: am I.T. guy Great vid, Sneeg!
@ons1m598
@ons1m598 Жыл бұрын
I've also heard that if you delete an item, at least on a computer, it is still technically on the harddrive and just the paths to it have been destroyed or something. But the harddrive acts as if it's empty space and will write over it, so theoretically would it be possible to "remove" data by overwriting it by maxing out the storage on the harddrive or whatever?

Defragging (if you have a lot of drive space taken up) can help fully remove/break up the left over data.
@DWal32
@DWal32 Жыл бұрын
@@ons1m598 That's what they said, when data gets deleted, it just gets treated as empty space, instead of being overwritten with zeros like most people think they do. You could create a program that manually rewrites a section of a drive to be zeros instead of any meaningful data, which would be completely indistinguishable from previously unwritten space unless there's physical wear on the drive itself.
@tzdragon7807
@tzdragon7807 Жыл бұрын
@@saddesklunch2544 Probably, a factory reset should first wipe the data then reformat the drive, as well as returning all settings to their original defaults. Nowadays a cloud save or backup would probably undo anything that was deleted by a factory reset. Something might be recoverable from a factory reset phone but it is unlikely.

14:00 The reason that happens is because when something is deleted, the bits aren’t all just set to zero. It just stops recording those bits as in use. So they will end up staying in your storage until a new piece of data is recorded over it. If you were to take a bunch of random images until your storage is full, and then delete them all, I believe that would stop anything from being stored in the phone.

How it works with data is that it stays there until something else is written over it. When you delete something that spot is just marked as "not existing". This is my first vid of yours I've watched. I enjoyed it so I'm sticking around. You called it, that is her defense after 8 attorneys, forfeiting her right to court appointed attorneys because of her conduct, wrote a dang circus flyer begging for an attorney, finding one, they've already began the family bashing by announcing Jorge's brother going to jail for murder(four years after Sarah killed Jorge) and then announcing her defense of battered spouse. My two cents is that goes out the window the moment she picked up her phone and instead of calling 911 she filmed and mocked him as he slowly suffocated then went to sleep even though he was still alive, possibly getting out.

There was a pre-trial hearing last week and her trial got pushed back, again, until July 24 because her 7th lawyer is having trouble finding an expert to testify in her defense. I wonder why, lol.

Total revenge act made possible by Alcohol. From what I’ve read, most likely they were upstairs and around 10:45 PM, with Sarah and Jorge both heavily intoxicated and fighting, Sarah somehow temporarily rendered Jorge unconscious maybe with a bat. Then somehow she was able to place his small body in the large suitcase and fully zip it up. Then, around 11:15, she managed to roll the suitcase with him in it down the staircase. He regained consciousness sometime in the suitcase and is later seen begging for his life in the 2-minute video. In this video Sarah is shown sadistically mocking him in a heavily slurred voice while he is suffocating. This video demonstrates malice of forethought one of the elements necessary for a 1st degree murder conviction.

You were right, January 2023, lawyer argued battered wife. The next hearing was meant to be in July but was pushed back to October. She's written letters to the judge saying she's not being represented fairly (because of course she thinks that) and is in jail without bail.

For me the most shocking part during the court hearing was the fact that she actually first called her ex-husband asking him to come. He said he would and told her to call the police. They had another phone conversation as he was leaving his place during which he again asked her to call the police. When he arrived it turned out she still hadn't called the authorities. She only called them when he got there. And I think he was clever not to go into the house beyond the hall and just wait outside.

On the topic of data deletion on a phone (or any electronic device), what happens is the device just marks that space on the drive is 'free' to be used, but doesn't actually 0 out the data. So, techs can go in and read the data in that free space. There are programs that will go into drives and write 0s over all the free space to make this technique difficult, but it is possible (read more expensive) to still get looking at residual magnetic signatures (at least for magnetic drives, I am not sure about newer solid state drives). There is still programs out there that you can get that write random data a random number of times over the empty space to combat this, which is probably the most secure, but I wouldn't put it past the CIA having some technology to recover data from something like that too.
