Something that I noticed that Nintendo manages to pull off a lot in their Wii titles is the amazing 1980s style soundtracks they manage to craft. They also pulled it off in Wii Sports and Resort, and with this track too, even though Super Mario Kart came out in the 90s.

Tour and 8 (...Deluxe in particular) hail from a closer, modern time period. It makes sense that they'd choose songs from a more modern pool, it's what they're already using in their current mainline title. But yeah, I love this theme.

Let's see. The snes version is obviously the worst (just kidding it's fine). But the there's the wii and 8 version... 8dx version is really energetic and I like the synthesized sounds. But wii is just a bomb. This song was one of my favourites on the wii and it's just as engaging as mariokart 8 deluxe's version. So wii wins for me. Gameplay wise though, mario kart 8 deluxe has the upper hand. I especially love that they've added ramps and even a glider ramp. I love bombing the stage while flying.
