There were lots of SNES games still coming out after the N64 was released and I wanted to showcase most of them here. 👕Buy a NES Deconstructed Shirt - www.etsy.com/listing/1709777638/nintendo-controller-deconstruction-white?click_key=b4da04e226ac9d8e07da6ce6e020469ac6d86a71%3A1709777638&click_sum=995108ac&ref=shop_home_active_11&frs=1 Thanks to @tigerchainsawvideogames for colabing on the video too

Awesome video Russ! I need to check out Street Fighter Alpha 2, I hear it's an excellent port on the SNES.

Still trips me out how the very last North American game released was a simple updated version of Frogger! Lol.

I love both Pinocchio and dream land 3( dreamland 3 being one of my favorite games of like all time!) I didn't realize they came out after the N64 launched!
@RussLyman9 ай бұрын
I have to try Pinocchio again, I got stuck on what to do and where to go when capturing footage. And I definitely need to finish kirby dream land 3 (maybe future live stream )

Consoles back then had a longer lifespan in Japan so there are quite a few more good ones that came out for the Super Famicom in Japan in this time period as well!
@blackenedheart95929 ай бұрын
You're right. They were making games for the super Famicom all the way up to 2000 I think. Not 100% on that but I know it was around that time.
@MunkiZee9 ай бұрын
Very true, I heard the N64 never really caught on in Japan, so the SFC had a longer working life
@blackenedheart95929 ай бұрын
@@MunkiZee Nintendo didn't stop services for the Famicom Disc System until 2007! So yeah. They definitely extend later in Japan than here.

Yeah when doing the research for this there were so many games in Japan coming out late. So cool. Maybe future video

A cool one that came after the N64 is Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 which came out in 1999 which is wild to me. Like, we’re almost to the GameCube at that point lol. I haven’t played it myself but I’ve heard it’s great. I plan to eventually.
@RussLyman9 ай бұрын
Yes when I was doing research I did see that one came up on the list for Japan. So wild, but they really love that series for sure

I have Donkey Kong Country 3 and Street Fighter Alpha 2 on my 3DS. I loved War 3010. I liked War 2410 a lot but as someone who almost always prefers ship combat to ground combat in games with both I had a lot more fun with 3010. I actually owned two copies of it because my first copy got thrown away by mistake when my family moved in 99. I think I still have a video game magazine with an article on War 3010 somewhere.
@RussLyman9 ай бұрын
Nice got to love that these games came out via the 3Ds virtual console. If I had the manual and more time I'm sure I could figure out the War3010. I knew the game appealed to some people, but when capturing footage I just couldn't figure out how to play it that fast. I'm sure if you sit down with it for the weekend it could get interesting

I adore the Lost Vikings games! Maui Mallard, yes! I thought it would've been so cool to have that as a cartoon as well. Midway goodness, very nice. Zombie Russ, nice; that's one of our favorite stickers-turned-magnet from the community! It's so great to see our boy Tiger Chainsaw here; he's such a sweetie! Great pick on Harvest Moon--AND, we even think his tractor's sexy. Arkanoid, and those style of brick-breaking games, are so much fun. I keep hearing about Pinnochio lately and would enjoy checking it out sometime. Realm is decent enough; sort of a "weekend rental" style of game. I really enjoyed the original DKC but have still never played any other game in that series. War of the Gems--aw yeah, love a good Marvel beat-em-up!! Oh man, look at how good Kirby's Dreamland 3 still looks!!

ooo Maui Mallard would have been a great cartoon. There's still time ha So many good titles in this one

I'd love to see a DKC3 stream! Also, i believe that the Timon and Pumba game was originally made for PC and then ported to the SNES which is why the graphics and movement arent as smooth as the first Lion King game.

I don't like how the SNES/N64 versions of Harvest Moon don't let you have a kitty :,( On the GBC version though you can choose to be a boy or a girl and have a cat (man's REAL best friend) or that silly other species...
