Kids these days have no idea how freaking huge SFII was back then. I remember when I was a kid my local arcade had 6 arcade machines of SFII all in a row, and there was always a line for each one whenever I showed up. Even some of our Burger Kings had a SFII machine set up. It was bananas.

I loved the arcade pit fighter game. The snes version was my 4th snes game to buy with my paper route money and boy was I severely disappointed. Walmart let me return the game for super ghosts and goblins. I picked up super contra after shoveling snow all day and I still have all my games in good condition with the original packaging. Your channel brings back so many memories.

It's funny that you mentioned that Walmart lets you return your game because you didn't like it. KB Toys did the same thing for me with pit fighter back when it came out!(think about all the people that return to that game) 🤣👍 That would never happen today though.

@@andrewmoe7078 I totally forgot about KB Toys. The KB at my local mall would set their own prices on games. They were the only place around with Street Fighter 2 in stock and I paid $70. Lmao. I'm still mad at myself for that.

My sister & I got a SNES for X-Mas in 1992. My parents did a bang up job. Super Mario World & Super Mario Allstars along with Actraiser, U.N. Squadron, Lemmings, Legend of Zelda, & Super R-Type. WWF RR, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Super Maro Kart, & Turtles In Time came shortly after... I still got a nice collection of around 150 games! (& a Game Genie!) Super R Type is way too hard! Can't make it past lvl. 4 without a cheat.. Legend of The Mystical Ninja is underrated!

TMNT IV: Turtles in Time is one of the rare cases where the SNES port is far superior to the arcade version in almost every way (except for the lack of 4-player simultaneous play). Better gameplay, better bosses, more stages, and even the mode 7 graphics were better than whatever the arcade version of Turtles in Time was doing.

I agree. You should consider stitching some of your similar videos together into a long compilation. Another KZbinr, Whang!, Who I really like, does that, and I thought I was weird because I would put those videos on to fall asleep and keep it playing because I don't sleep well, so when I would wake up in the night, it would still be playing and I'd fall right back to sleep. Lo and behold, there are tons of comments of others who do the same thing. Just something to think about.

I have a strong attachment to so many games from 1992. I got my SNES for Christmas of '92, and along with SMW being packed in, my parents got me and my brother Super Double Dragon, so that's actually the first game we played on it. Joe and Mac was also the first game I rented. I had surgery in early '93, so I got Zelda, Street Fighter II and Super Star Wars to keep me occupied during my recovery. ALttP is probably my favorite game of all time, but man that was a killer lineup.

My absolute favorites from this list are Ys 3, Axelay, and Imperium, and of those, I'd have to go with Ys 3; it has great music, a cool adventure, really wild-looking equipment icons, and a crazy-big moveset right out the gate! Still, lots of really underrated games on this list, and even more underrated soundtracks; Joe & Mac, Ys 3, the weird Super Adventure Island, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Super Double Dragon, Magical Quest, and even Spanky's Quest! Spanky's Quest also had such surreal visuals; I especially liked World 3 and 4. Also, I will absolutely go to bat for Final Fantasy Mystic Quest; it has a lot of neat features, and is definitely worth a play.

I have played very few of these and don't own any of them but the one I probably want the most is super mariokart; having only played it on a snes mini at a friends house.

so many bangers on this list I wouldn't know which ones to highlight in my comment! TMNT 4 was amazing we blew through that game the first day we had it, but still kept coming back to it, definitely the best one in the series!! street fighter 2, I have so many memories of playing the game with my uncle he was absolutely a beast at the game! mystic quest was alright, but the battle theme had no business being as good as it was! I remember rival turf being fun, IDK if I was as into the sequels, though.

Spanky's Quest was the first SNES game I rented. My local video game store had that and a bowling game available.

1992 was a pretty good year for the SNES. Pretty sure I played most of these games. Contra 3 definitely brings back memories. It was my turn to rent a game, and I remember asking my brother about Link to the Past, since he rented it before. Well, I get to Blockbuster, and they didn't have it. But I found Contra 3, so that was a good consolation prize. Rampart was another one of my brother's rentals. Lost to him every time. And last but not least, Joe & Mac. The last game we ever rented from Blockbuster.

Shadowrun is the hidden gem of the entire Snes library, it's a damn shame it doesn't get more recognition.

Oh 1992 What a year . I finally got my Super NES for Christmas with Super Mario World and I couldn't be happier. My mom also got me TMNT 3 and Ninja Gaiden 2 for NES I didn't ask for them but I accepted them anyway. On New years eve my mom got me Street Fighter 2 I went to my cousins house who got a Super NES for Christmas like me and we spent all day and night playing Street Fighter 2 until my mom came to pick me to go home on New Year's Day.

As a general rule, I *hate* racing games. The only two exceptions are Top Gear and F-Zero; both absolutely incredible games.

I remember sinking hours into super wrestlemania with my friends. Used to love that and it had completely slipped my mind. Same thing for Joe and mac

I missed out on the golden Era of SNES. My siblings and I got an NES in 1988. We begged and pleaded for an SNES when it came out, but never got one until 1995. A year later the N64 came out, but I didn't get my hands on one of those until 1999.

My older cousin had Joe & Mac and Pit Fighter for the Sega Genesis. I played both a ton on his Genesis. I actually liked the Sega Pit Fighter.

Top Gear was all the rage here in South America!!! It has a silly glitch: if you end a race by crashing into the metal columns of the finish line, you'll get points for the place you finished + the next position (i.e.: you finish 1st and 2nd, so you get points for the 1st and 2nd position).

There were a few snes games I liked, but I was definitely more Genesis. The consoles I owned growing up was 1)Atari,2)NES,3)Genesis,4)Playstation, & have been Playstation since.(I did have a 3DO in there somewhere too). I played a bit of snes but I was all about Genesis. Would love to see more Master System & Genesis videos. Keep rocking bro

It's good to hear Mystic Quest getting some love. I was six years old when this game came out, and it was my introduction to RPG's. Complicated? No. Nostalgic? Absolutely. And that music...
