My nephew hired this game and I wanted this game for the snes that is how I got hooked up then I tried everyday to reach the end of this game it took me months to finally reach the end and rescue Obelix mennn I never tried it out again it has remained with that one time.

I get bored with most new games much quicker than old ones. Admittedly ones like Asterix here aren't the most thrilling examples, but somehow a lot of older games have a lot more replayability. Probably a lot to do with more straightforward presentation, and accessability. You can jump in and out pretty easily, and they're just fun.

This game was a nightmare. I must have been around 6 or 7 when I got it, and I ragequit every time I played. Only to find out that I had to start all over because I couldn't save. Got to the pyramid stage, and when I died I put the game on a shelf and never played again.

Like everyone here I had good memories about this game because of the nostalgia factor. So I've broken the sacred rule of not touching again things that you cared about when you was a kid. Leave them there, keep the good memories. I've decided to play it again and man... what a pain in the ass it's its gameplay. You got easy hits from enemies if you don't punch them precisely on the right time, what gets more difficult since you can't jump on them; Asterix is always on the middle of the screen (if not a little farther), keeping you away of a good view ahead e leaving you open to free hits from spears and damn birds from nowhere (unless you keep pressing the R button to move the screen wtf); if you end a stage with fewer hearts you don't start a new one with your health replenished, so if you get to the end of stage with 1 heart, you'll start the next with 1 heart (WHAT?!); the jump mechanics seems random sometimes, with mid or higher jumps depending on how much you press the button, but it's not accurate; the stages have an invisible ceiling since if you're on a platform or roof up you'll jump onto something above the screen limit and get a failed attempt to reach the other platform or escape any flying enemies. Sorry about the rant but this game really got into my nerves several times because of its broken gameplay despite the nice nostalgia feelings that kept me playing.

Oh no don't tell me those skulls farted in the desert, although I first thought it was asterix then I realised that it wasn't him,still even though we know who farted which was the skulls. That is the cause of pollution in the desert. I don't think that Seth wanted poo on his head though ha ha ha you can imagine that happening but I feel sorry for Seth it is bad enough losing the throne of Egypt in mythology but having victims who died in the desert pooing on your head.
