Man this game was great. One of the most memorable games of my childhood. Awesome storytelling, and the motion capture was smooth and faster than Out of this World

Could these be the most petty annoying and negative commenters in the world? This game is amazing! Incredible detail and back when sci fi was a mix of modern times with realistic futurism. Though this game was a pain at time. Thanks for uploading 😁

This game or rather port is NOT amazing. Try coming back to this game after playing the Amiga and Mega Drive version and you'll see how awfully stiff and sluggish the controls are, as well as how slow it is. This is unsurprising actually, because the worst game developers in the world, Tiertex, were behind this lazy effort.

He didn't even mention which console he was talking about for this game before you just jumped on him about the game. Sounds like someone's a bit insecure, you shouldn't need to defend your console of choice if you weren't.

No wonder the snes version is sluggish and slow because of it’s slow 3,5 mhz cpu chip,but still this game gives a glimpse of what the snes cd & the now sd2snes is capable off,really am amezed of these animation cut scenes.
@Bloodreign15 жыл бұрын
Trust me, it could be done faster, people have started using something called an SA-1 hack (named after the chip used in some SNES/SFC games) that seems to speed games up properly. So far, only Gradius 3 has been done, and that game, when patched, runs 100% without any slowdown whatsoever. Young programmers these days have access to more tools than devs back then did, and they have been able to do more with the SNES than thought possible.

Blast Mode Processing FX 7 Definitely not the same engine, and definitely not the same developers. Another World / Out of This World was just published by Delphine Software and was made by one man. Flashback was made with like a team of 10 people, began development when Another World wasn't even finished yet.

SNES and CD-i versions are the worst. Both were handled by Tiertex Ltd, so you can see why it sucks. Technically though you should compare to the Genesis version because it's actually the original version, Amiga being actually a port and released before the Genesis version because of the amount of time needed to be approved.

Amiga version has the best music, but I hate the loading times for cutscenes animations and between levels. I prefer the PC version (especially with Roland MT-32 music), since it has no loading times. Genesis version is also very good, but the music is worse than Amiga or Roland (better than Adlib though). SNES version is simply atrocious, of course, only degenerates such as R GG can praise this abomination.

Indeed, this is surely the worst version of the main systems of that time. I don't even know why, the SNES was capable of much more, even the sound effects are terrible for no real reason. To the player/uploader: contrary to what you say in the description (and to what most people think, including me until recently), the Amiga version is not the original one. The game has been developed for the Mega Drive/Genesis, and then ported to other systems. The Amiga port has been released first only because the creators had to wait for SEGA's validation on the Genesis version.

@JFJD9 жыл бұрын
Nobody's saying the game itself isn't awesome; it's the *port* to the SNES that's so disappointing. Skip to the end and watch Conrad's ship as it leaves the planet - there's supposed to be a deep *boom* sound that syncs up with the explosion of the cave, which there is in the Genesis version. Also, right as the cryo pod closes and the camera slowly pulls away from the ship, there's supposed to be a stirring march-type theme segueing into the closing credits. Instead, we get this techno version which pales in comparison to the original. Face the facts, scrub: Genesis did what Nintendidn't.

Rory McCallum "I don't need activity. Im employed and dont live on the internet." And yet you're defending a 20+ years old game on KZbin, completely out of proportion when there is no need to defend it (I love this game but this port doesn't do it any justice, that's all). I really hope you're just a troll, even if it's the most useless and wasteful activity to have in one's life.
