Great video. As a vet with over 20 days in Germs, I agree! I rarely snipe, but recently on first try I got 60+ kills with one squad live on Normandy BR3. Well positioned sniper squad is very powerful with and engineer for supplying ammo.

So here's an idea. Instead of playing a sniper team, choose radio operators instead. Once you are fully upgraded you can have 2 radio operators, a sniper, an engineer, and an anti tank gunner. They will also be able to call strikes twice as fast. Equip them with good weapons, and use the appearance orders you get from battle pass to buy them some camo for campaigns with heavy foliage. Then use them as a recon squad. Use the engineer to put down a rally somewhere close to the objective, then take a vantage point overlooking the objective and start spotting targets for aircraft and friendly tanks. Between your strikes, and everyone elses you'll be able to maximize effectiveness of your teams assets, and you can use the rifles to deal with infantry, and help defend the point. As far as the sniping itself goes do your best to put yourself somewhere facing approaching enemy. I'll tell you if you can take a 7 man assault squad and cut them down to 4 that's a pretty solid impact on their ability to take and hold a point, and you may be able to get more of them even. Also it will keep enemies from getting comfortable enough to start building things and really digging in their heels. Another thing is in high rank matches you can give them FG42s or something comparable, and then even have basic LMG capability in case of a concentrated attack by infantry.

@@Ironarms92 Yeah the game is so much fun, I keep coming back just to do WWII soldier RP in my head but after 2 games i always start playing the game casually again, I just wish there was an option to play on m&k on ps4 because I cant afford a PC and I despise fps games on controller, the fun gameplay almost makes up for it tho.

@mugpad8269 I'm right there with you man. I'm a single Dad raising a five year old alone so obviously those badass cavities, and Christmas have to come first. With that said though if I could afford one a PC would be the perfect system to play on. Xbox one works though, and in the evenings after bedtime stories I get to be a German general lol. I know I'm essentially the bad guy, but I like to think of myself as a good bad guy keeping the game fun and challenging. Plus who doesn't like a good complex shooter with some strategy involved.

Hey there. Just some comments for the sniping radiosquat: Instead of using an engineer, use the radioman for the flying ammosupply. And for japanese radiosquat: you have two snipers there if you choose the mg-soldier with the scoped mg. And if you play low-br, there are sniperweapons where you can unmount the scope for closer combats (NOT closecombats). They have a bigger damageoutput than the nomal nonscoped manual rifles, so you have much more oneshots.

Stalingrad Snipers were the peak you could equip 3x MKB42 sniper with higher rof and mid mid range scope and also engineer with mkb42 and assaulter/medic with MP717(r)/Mkb42. It was a pretty flexible mid range specialized squad that could storm points no problem and also fight off other snipers with some skill.

I personally just like sniping from roof tops and just marking apc's or tanks then scout for clusters of enemies to give a supposed location of rallies it helps out CAS planes too

You missed one thing. You have the engineers with mortars, once your mortars run out of mortars, you can have the engineer build ammo boxes so that the mortar squad can replenish the mortar ammo for mortar guys. Just an FYI for others. Great Video.

Wish I could put an Enfield scope on the Boys rifle....or any of the AT/machine guns for that matter. On the other hand it's not COD so only the japanese are running around with scoped machine guns which are my favourite sniping weapons so far......might have to go back to try the russian/german semi-auto's it's been a few years since I played either.....the second I posted you got to the point with all the automatics with scopes.....damn I have some grinding to do cheers.

Good video, just a couple minor differences between my take on snipers. For Germany in particular. the carcano br1 sniper is actually good. it has a lower magnification scope with a wider field of view and 6 rounds instead of five. i was skeptical until i tried it. the gewehr 98 sniper also i think has the highest bolt action sniper damage in the game. at long distances it seems to 1 shot *significantly* more often for me. i like to rock both of them when playing br2. it also sucks that g41 squad is premium because having br3 semi auto like soviets and usa would be nice but its not a big deal either way. i like your take on the mosin and SVD for soviets. i would do similar for the ol' burgers as well, and of course for japan the MG squad is the real sniper squad lol. when playing br5 i usually bring a g98 and a mkb/stg for long range vs mid. another note would be that the fg42 II sniper is nearly unusable without upgrades because it loses 30% dispersion when upgraded. it also has nasty recoil. i tend to use this technique where i will immediately prone to fire it for recoil on full auto. also *HEADS UP* ive never see anybody use B key to mount a weapon while firing but you CAN do it MID burst. it also does this thing where it will instantly drop your aim by about a whole soldiers hieght. so with full auto sniper ... prone>begin spraying>hit B/mount weapon keybind and level a whole squad with a fg42 II/mkb/STG. sorry for long winded explanation i just thought you might appreciate it.

Pro tip for people that want to run snipers but hate playing like snipers, just remove the scopes and run them like regular bolt actions/semi autos and you'll level them up a lot easier.

most of the older players are really lucky we got a huge stockpile of pistols from the random bronze weapons orders that used to exist. im so glad i dont have to buy them.

Just make sure to not use FG42 Sniper since it has worst dispersion of all rifles in the game and need a massive buff. There is a reason why you have never been killed by that garbage weapon.

yeah it gets -30% dispersion fully upgraded but the recoil is still so nasty it sometimes is easier to use without a scope. if i keep the scope on i tend to drop to prone instantly and mount the weapon on the ground mid burst. it can be effective in that limited scenario because its has the damage. it also is not a joke in semi auto.

Instead of running with an axe, I run with the .45 auto. It's incredible how far it effective. I have taken out around 20 guys at one time with it. I started sniping and when I got the M1 Carbine in BR 1 and 2, I was stacking them up like firewood. That all changed at BR 4. Back to sniping a lot. I will stay at the rear and get the other snipers camping in buildings and build rally points. I do have one squad with the 1942 Winchester that I can play really aggressive with. Is there a Ghillie suit? I thought I saw one guy wearing one,

For BR 1 German snipers I dual wield sniper kar98k and sniper carcano 7.35mm. It has a x2.5 scope perfect for close range. Its bolt cycling animation is eye cancer though

Snipers are almost completely useless since a good rifleman can get the same result with a non-scoped weapon, also, they are terrible at capturing and holding zones, meaning they only time you really need a sniper is to get rid of another sniper. D class unit

@@Agnus_Mason not really, it depends on the situation and a variety of abilities is better than 10 times the same ability. an army with 1 sniper player and 9 assaulters will defeat an army with 10 assaulters.

You can't be as effective with a non-scoped rifle no matter how good you are. I'm pretty damn good with the iron sights but at long/very long range you don't reliably hit the enemy as much. It's also harder to find enemies at very long range to snipe without looking through the scope.
