You should try octarine + lvl 25 get the AOE first skill. Ive tried this build, almost the same but with octarine. It would be useful in late game war, imagine being able to constantly freeze enemy (+ bonus spell lifesteal), and u could free hit them both when they are trying to run away or when they are freezed. My build goes like this : arcane boot, kaya (-> blood stone), orchid (bloodthorne later), scepter (later buy the recipe), octarine, hurricane pike, last item is whatever we might need, or attack speed would also be meta 😅

Appa is my favorite hero. I have played more than 500 games with him at pos 5. Not a reliable disabler but has high damage output for pos 5. The most satisfying moment is when I sniped enemy heroes at their fountain from my own fountain with ice blast.

Appa was originally pitched as a mid laner Most of the support heroes today were mid or carries to begin with before nerfs were done to them. Especially AA. Old build was pointed to 1st skill then attribute bonus. All items aiming to mana sustain, attack speed and lockdown. That was the reason why AA was built with midas before. That AA ulti is really OP when it is online earlier. IDK why people think he is a support when he was ported to Dota2

That being said I have no idea how that weaver lost so hard in the second match, that hero should counter this pretty hard. Your ult doesn't stop timelapse, you have no good way to deal with shikuchi, and if he gets a deso you will legit get 3 shot if you have bugs on you. Even in lane, you have a hard time dealing with him just running at you with shikuchi, especially if u don't have a sentry down. Seems like he just got too intimidated by how manly your AA was or something.
