This channel is all about snipers, sniping and FPS shooters! I mainly do Battlefield 2042 Sniping but I also play Call of Duty, Battlefront and I love Battle Royale. I often play solos, duos and squads on my livestream. I have 1000 hours experience in every Battlefield and I hope to play more FPS games in 2021. Yeah the only battlefield where it felt rando scouts contributed as much as other classes was Battlefield 1 with the sweet spot mechanic. Which was "too easy" for Stod. The headshot one hit kill thing he praised so much in BF V meant that if a team had too many snipers it was an insta loss.

Nah, having snipers that take out tanks is just not sensible either for immersion or for gameplay design. Jeeps, helis - sure, I buy it and see the point. But you need to have a reason to specialise into AT weaponry or be vulnerable, and the current NTW performance is really silly.

Easy fix high damage rounds cap at 3 round mag and 1 in the chamber for a total of 4 .If a tank is dumb enough to get hit by 4 bullets reload a clip and a final round they deserved it.This way everything else is vulnerable. But the weapon is not op 4 rounds to drop a nightbird .

Its fair depends on which vehicle you are shooting at. The problem with NTW 50 is, it seems to damage vehicle based on % of health. So no matter you are in a jeep or tank, it always take 6 shots to kill. They should keep its currerent shots to kill against light vehicles, but a few more shots for heavy vehicles.

vehicles are mediocre at best, if you've played them at all you should be able to tell. AP rounds are like rocket launcers but almost instant hit feeling and you cant really play around them as a tank, bit easier as helo but still hard.

I’ve found with the snipers in battlefield games you have to struggle for like a good hour using it before you start to kinda get warmed up. it’s hard not to quit at first but if you keep sucking it’ll start to feel more natural

Unless something is blatantly broken (like the hovercraft) I wouldnt be making balance changes until they fix the damn performance of the game. Hard to tell whats actually good and what isnt when we have problems with hit registration, hit boxes, fps drops, mouse input lag, generally laggy servers, micro stuttering… I mean the list goes on…

Now there is no literal reason to use the ntw when it was originally designed as a anti-material weapon. Yeah if they're slowing it significantly they need to tighten the hip fire. Team play is non existent in this game so a sniper is literally screwed in close range because noone is covering. The ADS speed at least gave you a chance to get a quick shot off before you're deleted. At range I dont think the ADS speed matters because aim assist is basically non existent so only super skilled players like stod are consistently quickscoping.

The 8x zoom itself isn't even that fast, still kind of slow for my liking but it's the only one that doesn't make you feel crippled, why not just buff the other scopes to make the game feel more responsive? The magnum also seems to have the same issue since the red dot has a faster ads speed than the iron sights.

The NTW is meant to be an anti-vehicle weapon so yeah, I don’t know why it should get nerf when most of engagement in the battlefield is focus on vehicle base rather than infantry base, this my opinion

Yeah It's has its place and Personal I think a nerf will reduce its viability over other weapons. Hate to say it but it actually seems balanced with the reload time and ammo count. 8x definitely needs a slight ads Nerf but other need real buffs to make them more desirable over the 8x.

i don’t see the point in making the ntw obsolete, i’d say a better fix would be making a fat drop off for damage to vehicles from it, increase the risk and keep the reward. In my first 30 hours i died to an ntw once, i have not seen it as a problem.

NTW 50 user here. I think it would be fair to nerf damage to tanks, or to only deal damage from behind, it feels wrong to wreck tanks left and right, but otherwise yeah, if they nerf all vehicle damage it will be completely useless.

Vehicles are probably the weakest they have been in the entire series, except for the transports, (m5c is op for some reason). If you think otherwise ur delusional, tanks die to everything and the turret barely moves fast enough to keep up. Helo's barely have cover on most maps, and 64 people could potentially carry ur hard counter, not to mention the sundance grenades.

Theres really no bullet drop in the game. Its more tied to your scope. The bullet still travels. Anti armor ammo on other weapons feel so weak. It would GREATLY help if they brought back points earned by damage. So you can see how much damage you're doing to things.

Sniping someone actually decent at the game is hard. Its only really good when ur sniping players that are either stationary or just not tac sprinting or dodging at all. Trying to be a PTFO sniper like I was in BF 5 or 1 is actually impossible. If its nerfed to hard thats the end of 2042 for me

The vehicles are already OP enough and we only have a single launcher for ground vehicles, but hey, lets nerf the NTW-50. I've been using it, and I don't think it's all that great tbh. Sure it's alright, but it isn't OP. Most of the time the vehicle kill gets jack anyways, or they just run away (Bolte going 70mph with OP 30mm cannons). Plus the sheer volume of vehicles for the attacking team in breakthrough, my god.

Anything that kills vehicles in the game quicker is a plus. I feel like vehicle players just expect farming infantry players without dying is expected. I bring you back to the plane pilots on BFV who get 150 kills and 1 death per game, with no effective counter to them. I don’t want 2042 to be like this.

There are better solutions than creating a reality where tankers just sit in their spawn and maybe still die. Can you imagine what this would be like when everybody has unlocked it and it takes 20% of a tank’s health per shot? You know how easy it is to hit a tank? You can’t outrun a sniper rifle with a tank unless you happened to have cover nearby. Now let’s take my example but with two or more snipers at two or more angles. Maybe you actually know where they are, but they’re headglitching a rooftop and ADAD’ing...

B) No. Modern battle tanks should not take damage from such an low caliber ammunition. C) No. I don't need to when evidence is clear. I mostly play snipers in any Battlefield, and I do think that sniping seems a bit too easy in 2042 (at least with the DXR). At the same time though, the ADS speed on anything above a 2x feels painfully slow in this game, and the 8x was kinda the only way to get around that... I don't know, I guess I'd just prefer it if they did the snipers like in BFV so that they aim in fast, but never one-hit to the body.

The only reason snipers feel ‘broken’ are because the maps are fucking huge with lots of running in the open So a sniper can sit behind cover and not die simply due to the range. One thing that could help is when players get better at the meta and use more smokes/Irish covers Right now everyone is running out in the open like a headless chicken

Damn, I was looking forward to just making a dedicated anti-vehicle loadout with the NTW-50 when I unlocked it. Hopefully the nerf isn't too bad on it. The 8x scope nerf is something I saw coming though. It being faster than lower magnification scopes sounded more like a bug.

I built my Tankgewehr Loadout with it and switch between c5, the m5 and ammo crate. but honestly the gun is good for close/mdium range only, which means dying a lot. those long shots require stable server connections to be effective and the bullet speed is so low you have to essentially Kobe anyone over 200m away. But ohk are nice :)

When you watch these videos you can see he is in the open without cover, at the 4 Minute mark when he starts sniping at them over that cliff, he runs around reloading inside of their LOS instead of being in cover. He's not playing against people of his own skill level, which is where good, 'meaningful' content comes from, pub stomp games don't really tell you anything other than if no-one can snipe on the enemy team like you, you'll never be pressured into playing better. Or how you aught to play. It's a really annoying aspect of clickbaity pubstomp gaming replays and bits, because it doesn't represent the reality of actual competition.

Just my opinion, sniping can be way better and is close to trash. It’s also too plain and Not rewarding. If you kill someone from 1000 m away it’s the same kill log as if they were right in front of you.. there is no marksman bonus. Not to mention that what I call the “infamous dust” when you shoot through someone and you just see the dust. And the worst of all the sniper scopes.. The only one with mildots is the 8x and the scopes only go up to 10x!? R u kidding. This game is a complete downgrade in my opinion. What happened to the 20x and 40x from bf4? There is so much stuff that needs to be fixed with this game and tbh they should’ve delayed it another year or two.

I don't feel the issue is the rifle right now. I think all vehicles need to get rid of self repair. Make it a squad task to keep alive. Plus all ground vehicles need to have the same disable mechanic that the Bolte has.

The I assume all of the scopes have the same ADS speed, which is also a stupid way to "balance" them. They should buff all other sights' ADS speed to match the current 8x, because the 4x, 6x and 10x make it feel soooooo slow to aim as a sniper.

NTW nerf is uncalled for. There’s no reason infantry should stay alive long enough against a vehicle to get the full mag in. If anything buff the M5 it’s meant to destroy vehicles. No army would use a rocket that ineffective.

I know Battlefield isn't a super realistic game but the idea of sprinting into a standing unsupported shot with a high magnification scope with no spread or reticle sway is pretty comical. I don't think longer ADS time on high powered scopes is unreasonable but I know it's going to come down to game balance. I don't think the NTW is at all overpowered on vehicles. I get the argument that it shouldn't damage tanks or heavily armored vehicles like wildcats. But it should still be an effective anti armor play on light vehicles, especially hovercraft and recon truck. I could see them nerfing it to make it harder to use unsupported but I don't really think it needs a damage reduction.

There is no reason to nerf sniping or the anti armor rounds. Why would they want to decrease build variety. Noone uses that sniper. I've literally never even seen it in the feed. It's very nice to see multiple viable methods to take down vehicle's which are crazy op in this year's BF. Now there will be no reason to use the Antimaterial rifle just like in every other fps where they nerf them into oblivion.

From my few hours in the game and 63lvl I just unlocked the NTW-50 3lvls ago and I love it. Personally I do not think that gun needs a nerf. Bullet speed is slow-ish. bullet drop is like shooting a mortar on longer shots, Gun kicks like a horse and the reload has a decent timer as this is a ducking .50 CAL aaaand DMG and accuracy on higher range is off. For me the main focus of this gun is Close/Mid Anti-vehicle sniper (With AP rounds). Without nerfing the self repair on the vehicles this gun will become useless after Patch 3. Compared to the other snipers. Not to mentioned still missed SVK what I think is unbalanced (2hit body shot on sniper range) and you could see that before patch 2. only guns used by 90% players were SVK and PP29, after the double nerf of PP I do not think there will be ppl using it anymore and more will go to SVK and AK.

I dont think console has ever had aim assist applied to the sniper rifles in a battlefield game, but I could be wrong? I think the issue now is that we are playing with cross play on to find a game. I've primarily sniped since BF1 and its definitely more challenging in 2042 than any other BF. The DXR is about the same as the KAR98 in BFV I think, difference with BFV was I had much more time to get my shots off since I wasn't playing cross play. In a good game of breakthrough on 2042 I get about 20-25 sniper kills. In a bad one I get 3 and get annoyed so I switch to an assault rifle!

I agree, as is too many people cant be bothered to at least carry AA rockets or regular rockets when overwhelmed by vehicles. So its usually up to a single person to contest all the air and ground vehicles.

The NTW is just decent in destroying vehicles, way more reliable than the M5 clown launcher that you cannot even restock ammo... The 8x feels normal, the others are slow as hell and not event have mill dots

I'm disappointed when they make sniping so easy in games. What's the point of the steady shot key bind if there's no bullet spread after sprinting/moving/jumping. Is this really the kind of sniping everyone prefers in a battlefield game? Thought it was more of a CoD thing.

Nerfing the NTW-50 is a tone deaf response to the lack of AT options for infantry. It's more effective to C5 drone armor rather than relying on the worthless Recoiless to fight vehicles. IF they Disabled Specialists for everything Except HAZARD ZONE and gave us a second Equipment slot instead i would be fine with that imbalance in the game, screw it let everyone have a soflam and repair tool, let people run Dual Crates/Bags for ulitmate support, LET PEOPLE RUN PLATES AND MED PENS for that TDM Loadout

they need way more bugfixes before starting to nerf guns that don't need nerfs. sure the PP bizon needed one for range, but other wise, for vehicles, if you don't have 2-3 people with zookas then you wont kill any tank/air crafts. cause they run away or just don't blow up( also, so little zooka choices for engineers or what ever.... forgotten the older Battles fields? DAVAIIIIIIIIIII) , only thing i found effective before the patch supposedly comes out is c5 (wanna be c4 lmao) but even then, how many times can you sneak up on a tank? mostly if it's the lightweight V8 tank, i mean good luck with that lmao. anti vehicle ammo is just fine, the BMG being too op? no. simply no. NTW-50 in my opinion is absolutlely not OP, specially after the nerf. You have to shoot grounds vehicles 6 times or 7, and it's the same for air vehicles, which for me makes no sense. I agree that it's fair to shoot a tank 6 or 7 times, even for the others armored vehicles... but light armored vehicles and helos, jets ? Should take 4 or 5, it's harder to hit, especially jets. Also, the Anti-vehicle rounds you unlock after 120 kills if I remember right, makes absolutely no difference with the standard ones, as far as I experienced. Change my mind.

Good. They should nerf DMR's too, there's literally no punish for using DMR's or Snipers in this game, they need to add supression back into this BF because a sniper should not be able to one-shot kill me by hitting my foot while I'm drilling him in the chest.
