Hello,my friend,as i've said before,i wanted a little bit more,but it was a great capitalization of the attention generated by the Ronaldo teaser,that took the nextbspot with the SF collaboration.I am sure that the crossplay will be the last gift for Samsho and maybe some little expansion to let the game still be alive.

Honestly my only complain with snk is how we can't select original outfit for charcters like billy and especially mai. With mai alot of people were under the impression that her OG outfit is a selectable outfit only to be disappointed when the devs said in NeoGeoNow interview that it wqs locked behind her hidden gear. Very bizarre decision by SNK.

To be honest SNK have been making the right moves for a while now. And whats nice is Capcom are doing the same it feels like the 90's with SNK and Capcom at the top of the food chain in regards to fighting games. However SNK still struggle with support when it comes to the west e.g the fgc was divided when terry and mai were announced for sf6. Even now couple of pro players talking trash about terry. But when ken and chun li got announced for FF that was fine so we can sf characters in ff but not the other way around. Also SNK still aren't bringing in the numbers

As far as the numbers and stuff that’s going to come with time and COTW is the start of the new era for SNK. As far as the pro players talking shit about Terry, who gives a shit. What they think is the last thing to worry about. And yeah when it’s come to the west, SNK has struggled but already it’s been a huge difference in reception and the game not out yet. I get the worry though.

There are some words missing from your post that make it hard to determine what you're trying to say. Terry/Mai announcement has been _mostly_ hype. There are some who are disappointed that two slots went to guest characters over SF characters (the concern wasn't for Terry/Mai specifically, just two non-SF slots out of only 4 available), but most thought it was great, especially post-Terry gameplay trailer. The only thing I've seen from Pros is that Terry isn't as busted as they thought he would be. They were thinking another top 3 shoto like Akuma or Ken, but he's a lot more technical than expected. He's still strong - probably a top 10 character - and is fun as hell to play, which matters more arguably. Also, you realise the success of COTW has little to do with the FGC, who make up probably less than 1% of the people who purchase fighters (game-depending), right? It's SBK hooking casual players that will cause COTW to be a wild success, not whether the FGC embraces it. The FGC will help, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't the FGC who, say, turned Guilty Gear Strive into the moat successful GG ever. I'm hoping that COTW can be SNK's equivalent of Strive in being a break out hit, but as I said, the casual audience will have to do the heavy lifting.

@@ShinUltima I never said the success of COTW hinges on the FGC but obviously its good to have that game succeed in the community as well. The whole point ive been driving home for months and months is for SNK to go out of their way to market to the west and acknowledge our existence and that theres fans outside of the east asia market. I agree with you about the casual audience and stuff.

@@DecepySwag Oh sorry, i was responding to @acetrap's post. Not sure what SNK needs to do to market to the west/their fanbase outside of east Asia other than "spend more money on advertising". I think they've been doing a good job with COTW so far at least. I'm hoping for a demo/beta soon though. I'm definitely concerned about their rollback after experiencing the shoddiness that was rollback on Steam version of SS2019 (dunno if it has gotten better since last year, but lack of crossplay makes that version a wasteland anyway).

SNK is doing great right now, I just hope the online holds out because that's still been their greatest weakness. Samsho imo is what brought them back up to the forfront in 2019, it was one of their best selling games in years and it was fun. To bad the lobbies and online wasn't all that good, but I digress.

Honestly I found it disappointing. - SamSho I was hoping at least crossplay and at most a tease of the SamSho RPG. They announced nothing. - KOFXV was just some early art of stuff they announced back at Evo. Again, announced nothing. - City of the Wolves: yeah the announcement was cool but predictable, I just can't get excited for these two characters I already dont touch in SF6. Kyokugen > Shoto so I will be putting a "Butt" load of hours in playing Marco.

For me I casually played KOF first games I got into was KOF 2002 KOF 2001 instantly got into playing as Mai 😊so her being in the game makes me happy and I think Chun Li was top tier in SVC chaos so I’m excited to see SNK designs for Ken and Chun Li 😱 😆

@@DecepySwag at Tokyo game show on Saturday. It was PACKED. SNK booth looked amazing and it was right at the entrance. I liked playing Terry and Rock. Mai has never been too much for me. Vox is a bit slow compared to the others, but you feel he is powerful if you know how to play him. The Thai girl is fun, but I didn't play her much this time. This game will be good. But it's really slow at first when all you play is SF6 and Strive.

Too many usages of the word "King" in SNK, you have the King of Fighters tournament, you have the game named after the tournament, you have King the Muai Thai fighter (my personal favourite fighter across all the SNK games) and of course you have King of Dinosaurs: the heel alter ego of Tizoc.
