55:52 Clearing up a little misconception: we have 12 characters revealed, leaving 5 left in the base roster. We already know 3 of them from very first evo voice teaser are Hokotumaru, Gato, and Kain. This leaves 2 left that we have absolutely no idea about. HOWEVER we can infer that one of those 2 slots is going to be Jae Hoon, and the other is going to be Freeman to finish off the MOTW base roster (minus Grant). Hope this helps everyone.

Also about the Andy and Joe thing, they will probably be DLC. Unlike Hokotumaru, Gato, and Kain they don't have voice clips in the teaser.

Just as a note because Max kept referring to the Taekwondo kids as "Kaphwans" Kim is the family name. Yes, it comes first but that is their surname. Kim Kaphwan, Kim Dong Hwan, Kim Jae Hoon Kim Kim Kim I hope Jae Hoon is in their though, I always liked him a little more. Now that I'm older maybe that will change though

As a Frenchman I can explain to you why Dragon Ball is more popular than Mortal Kombat, you should know that we were one of the first countries outside Japan to buy, published manga (we have the largest number of manga publishers in Europe) and broadcast manga and anime on mainstream television, we had a show in the late 70s early 80s called Club Dorothée and which broadcast a lot of anime including Dragon Ball (Not Dragon Ball Z but Dragon Ball the first series with Goku as a child) hence the fact that we love Dragon Ball and the other anime we grew up with the same time as the Japanese, hence the fact that for a long time France was the second country consuming manga just behind Japan.

There's 5 left for COTW that's not yet revealed. The base roster has 17 characters and Dong Hwan is just the *12th* character I feel folks probably said "2 left" since they forgot Ken and Chun are DLC + assume Ronaldo is a character. 5 also lines up with the only Garou characters not yet revealed in the game (outside of Grant, who's canonically dead and effectively replaced by Vox for now: Jae Hoon Freeman Hokutomaru Gato Kain

the other explanation for "2 left" is that there are 3 characters who've showed up in teaser artworks but haven't been officially announced as playable: Andy, Joe, and Kain. If those three are all in the base roster (which it's possible some may be on the DLC roster) then that would make 15 out of 17 known characters, 2 still unknown (Since Chun and Ken are confirmed as DLC)

@@Rizzopolis I think those 3 characters are actually the ones from the audio teaser that appeared after those artworks (*). Namely we're missing Gato, Kain and a mystery Shiranui ninja (**) from that teaser. (*) I'm honestly expecting Joe to not be part of the base roster. (**) It's unclear who it could be. The technique is exclusive to Hokutomaru but the voice doesn't fit, so either Hokutomaru had a growth spurt and his voice changed or it's Andy Bogard.

19:02 - yeaaah, dude, l think queen dizzy is a lot fun in GG strive. but, we've seen starter guide, her new moves was crazy. annnd yeah, l agree with max dood, it is kinda like burnout from street fighter 6 / nago's blood splash move if l'm not misaken for dizzy. so yeah, dizzy is going to be pretty fun in any guilty gear games and the voice actor, one of the best fighting games ENG voice actress of all time is back, which is kira buckland as ENG voice of dizzy / queen dizzy from strive, annnd l'm very happy. u know, cause, matt is doesn't mentioned for kira as dizzy's ENG voice from strive, but, oh well, it is what it is.

The problem with Tekken 8, for me, isn't in the concept of 50/50 gameplay, the chip damage, the heat, or the rage arts. It's that every one of those aspects aren't Tekken. When you add one or two of those things, it's just a gimmick for that game, but when you stack them all on top of what would otherwise be a classic Tekken game, it becomes something else. There's a reason why this is the most fun Tekken you've played, as a mostly 2D and Marvel player. Tekken has always had a certain identity and feels, but this game tosses a lot of that aside. To non-Tekken fans, it's so much deeper than the mechanics I mentioned above. There are now unbreakable crouch throws and a lot of moves that are so plus on hit that you can land other moves unrelated to them as a follow up.

No. They've been nickel and dimeing mf'ers imo. Honestly, the only new (I'm a ww) fighters with a respectable cast was sf4 and the kofs (13 and up).
