@DanceintheRaine6663 ай бұрын
As you likely know, both Hader (as Stephon) & Mulhaney speak of how John would CHANGE the cue cards (for the live performance) from those words which were presented during the dress rehearsal and before....such that Hader was NOT expecting the words he had to read. I love the friendship...the platonic love between these two.

With respect to the KZbinr's video "title" that includes the part "tinkle my britches," I love such silly references. Even though my daughter is 39 years old (and I am only 75), she is still quite delighted with my "Invention" of a newspaper columnist I call T.P. Ryder, who makes up all of these play-on-word stories that are printed in ink, and in small letters, on usually about the first two feet of a fresh roll of toilet paper which, of course, (then) gets hung on the dispenser spindle. So when she comes to visit me, and soon needs to go tinkle, I hear this loud guffaw coming from the other side of the bathroom door! I even taped a note up on one of the bathroom walls where my daughter is asking this question: "Dad, is T.P. Ryder your 'Alter Peego?'" If you are a person who does not appreciate the beauty that comes with our language's unique ability to alter meanings, to create play on words--including puns, then urine a heap of trouble. ~ And here is the kind of delightful joke that might come about on a surprise occasion in my classroom, which five times a day would be adorned with "eager-to-learn" (Yeah, right!) teenagers: A Teenager from France is visiting here in America where, presently, they have a grand opportunity to ride on a wild roller coaster at our county fair. So EXCITED at being on such a thrilling ride, at one fortuitous point our French teen yells out at the top of their voice, "Oui! Oui!" "Oui!" "Oui!"~ which was clearly heard by the operator of the roller coaster ride. But when it came to a halt, and the French teenager was getting ready to exit the car, the operator said angrily to the teen, "DID YOU DARE TO GO WEE--WEE IN THAT CAR?!" Well, such as it is; but at least I had minimal problems with discipline issues during the course of the school year! Plus it helps to also love your students....

Bill Hader broke on purpose. It wasn't funny and still isn't. SNL would go up several points in quality if their cast could keep a straight face during skits and the Weekend Update. Yet, someone THINKS that the audience loves the breaking of character. They also love WalMart.

I’m over the thinking it’s funny when the cast breaks-up Once, about 46 years ago, Carol Burnett made Vicki Lawrence laugh during a sketch and that was real novel. Now, in the year 2024, it is not. It’s frigging boring! Jesus! Heidi Gardner with Beavis and Buttface was great, in part because Heidi doesn’t usually break. Ever. The worst offender is Bill Hader. It’s so not funny to watch you attempt to say your lines, then cover your mouth and laugh - unable to get the lines out- because you’re so funny, we love to see you break character because you’re so enamored of your hilariousness 452 thousand times! You’re an actor. Act. Again, watching you laugh has really, REAALY lost its charm.

I hate to rain down on everybody's parade but most of snl isn't very funny ,that's not to say there's not a lot of great talent on the show because there definitely is ,it's just the material they have to work with is so bad, occasionally there's a real gem but on the most part if it wasn't for the laugh track and audience laugh light💡 most people wouldn't know when to laugh, even the performers laugh at how bad the material is, let's face facts what's funny about saying we must have more cow bell ,is a good example
