The best of them don't, they don't need to because they can actually sing. If they lose their voice they apologize and cancel the show. If they feel it would be too much of a disappointment to their fans they could, if they had integrity, announce beforehand they are having a problem with their voice and will need to be assisted with a backing track for their vocals. If she had been honest it wouldn't have blown up like it did. To have even had the pre-recorded music going into it shows she was lying about never lip syncing at her concerts.
