Robertson said: "That match was the hardest of my life. I was much closer than the people watching or the TV cameras, and I could see him suffering. Every time he played a shot he was in absolute agony. "It was pretty painful just to watch. There was no joy for me, it wasn't at all pleasant - it was extremely difficult to block out my sympathy when he struggled. I hope it's something I never experience again. "He's such a big loss, he was just irreplaceable" 😢😢

This made me cry. Still can't believe it. I got an sms on my phone from my grandad to say "Paul Hunter has died". It shook me so badly.

Considering not only his ultimately life ending illness but also the pain and fatigue it and the treatment left him in, Hunter played remarkably competent snooker during that final season, even winning a match at the UK Championship.

Colour of his skin was awful. He must have been going through so much pain. Legend of the game. Sorely missed
