Started to watch snooker during Terry’s 1979 win. He was a modest newcomer at the time someone you could relate too. Sad to see he’s no longer with us. RIP.

Terry was a far better player than he got credit for, I’m sure his fellow professionals would be testament to that, for someone that hardly practised and won the world championship at his first attempt. Rip Terry Griffiths a very good snooker player and a fine gentleman.

Terry had a nice cue action and he wasn't as slow as they make out.I think that was more of just a standing joke.

@@christopherdavis4135he had the tenacity to grind his way through frames. Those mentally tough players that are hard to put away! He had a great understanding of the whole game to be fair! Great safety player which is super important at any level of the game.
