Snorkeling for shells Navarre Beach July 2021 VIRTUAL SHELLING

Hi guys, thanks so much for sticking around even though I haven't been able to create a lot of content lately! I've been super busy and have had a lot of stuff happen recently. But today was worth the wait, I have an amazing find about halfway through, at at the end I'll identify all my finds! Shoutout to the fellow KZbinr I met on the beach today, I'm so sorry I'm awful at remembering names especially when I'm in my shelling element LOL but thanks for saying hello!

I just love watching you snorkel. I went to southern Florida in June to celebrate my 50th birthday. Came back with a whole bunch of shells! Still looking for my flat scallop!

Yesterday was one of the best shelling days on Navarre Beach I’ve had yet. We used the same beach access too, no wonder we found no shells where we set up lol. (I usually don’t shell past the hotel buildings to the east or west, just between them) My family and I went later in the afternoon though closer to low tide. Snorkeling got me some nice shark eyes and nice murexes. The best find was a Queen Helmet found with a sand flea scooper around sunset, otherwise it was easy finding scotch bonnets like you did just plucking them from the ocean floor while snorkeling. Edit: list of shells I found on July 25 Queen Helmet 4 Scotch bonnets 5 lightning whelks Sunray Venus Small nutmegs (very colorful brown ones) Half of a carrier shell Cones! I don’t know the difference between all of them yet. Juveline fighting conchs And of course Olives, can’t leave those!

September can’t get here fast enough! I was there in April and didn’t get to snorkel so I’m counting the days till I get back. Love all your videos! And yes I’ve asked you about how deep you go. I’ve only snorkeled at St. Andrews and felt safe, hopefully my niece while she’s laying in the Sun will watch out for me in case I’m about to run upon something scary that could eat me.. 😂

Holy cow! Navarre has some beautiful shells! I'm currently on vacation down in Sarasota Cty, at Nokomis Beach, and we barely have any shells. I've been coming to this beach my whole life, and have never seen this beach without shells.☹ And now, the Redtide is starting to show up😭 Great video!

Where specifically do you do your snorkeling? We stay at one of the condos at Navarre Beach every year and I usually do my search for shells at the national seashore, because it’s much less crowded. Never tried snorkeling for them before, but after watching your videos, I’m inspired to try it.

I snorkel all up and down Navarre Beach in front of the condos at the public beach accesses. Just stay away from the pier! I've never found too much in the national seashore area.

Not deep at all! I stay near the shoreline just a couple feet deep usually 😊

What is the little cap you wear? Does it help the goggles go on better?

It's actually just a bandana I tie around my hair, my long hair gets caught in the snorkel and mask and even ripped it out before so this protects my hair from entanglement 😊

Those are always beautiful can't wait to go here in a couple weeks. What is type of mask and snorkel do you use? Need to buy one. Normally go to Navarre but only found a place in Destin but we love Navarre beaches

I've honestly been searching for the perfect mask and snorkel for years, this one started leaking yesterday so I can't recommend it, I'm on the hunt for a new one as well now!
