Come virtual shelling with me on Navarre Beach! It's winter so no snorkeling, but we had some amazing wrack lines on the beach where I find scotch bonnets, baby's ears, lightning whelks, murex and more! I'll also identify all of the shells I've found at the end of the video. As always, only collect empty shells!

I envy you. I wish I could go to the beach and look for shells and rocks! But I'm grateful. I go maybe once every five years. I can't believe all the beautiful shells there are. You really know the best places. Good luck with your shell hunting!!!

I had no idea. We barely find any shells when we go. I had no idea you find the most in winter! Now I have a great homeschooling field trip idea! Thank you for picking up the cigarette butt. We moved here two years ago, and I'm still amazed that smoking is allowed at the beach.

Liz, you are so amazing, these shells are beautiful, as you are. I watch another lady from down south at Senibel and they saying that shelling there is word famous, but I think that yours are the most interesting unusual, and gorges. Sanibel ones are nice , too. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures, learning so much from you. Watching you from Hungay. I've got all my family members watching you as well.

@@LizFisher1 is there always lots of shells when you go snorkeling in the summer? Or only after wind events? I'm here in Fort Pierce... east coast
@LizFisher1
@LizFisher1 4 жыл бұрын
No there's definitely not always shells in the summer, it takes the perfect conditions, windy and big waves and then calm conditions after so you can actually see to snorkel. Actually last year I believe I only did one video all summer because the conditions just never aligned perfectly.

@LizFisher1
@LizFisher1 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there isn't an exact go to place to find shells. It has more to do with the tides and if there were storms to bring the shells up and then wait for the waves to recede and uncover the shells.

Liz, can you find shells here along the shore line in the sand, summer time? We were vacationing in Sandestin, two weeks ago. I could not find one single shell there , didn't even see one.
@LizFisher1
@LizFisher1 3 жыл бұрын
You won't find many shells over in Destin, we are about 45 minutes to the West, you wouldn't think that little distance would make a difference but for some reason the shells just don't make it over there, while we will have piles here. In the summer most of the shells here will be found in the water, not just lying on the beach like in this video, this was a rare occurence after strong winter winds :)
