Leopard shark not a Tiger shark!

Appears to be a Butterfly Ray @4:56. A rare find indeed in SoCal. First one I've seen on YT. The shark @3:04 is a harmless Leopard Shark. TIger Shark would offer a very different experience;-) Fortunately those are extremely rare in the northeastern pacific.

Is it safe to go here as a beginner? I’m worried about strong currents and sea animals that could hurt me
@faithfamilyfriends3438 Жыл бұрын
I’m not an expert myself, and the ocean always consists of danger. However, as ocean water goes, the current in this area is mellow most days and as for sea animals, I felt safe. Never been stung or bitten by anything.

I am a novice and purchased the ones recommend by the scuba shop where we were certified. I’m not even aware of the name brand. 🤷♀️

Cressi has some nice and affordable masks. I do recommend getting one at a dive shop, so you can get one that fits right.

I use to dive there as a kid back in the early 80s. No different now than then. Nothing is dying there.
