03:24 "Welcome to the powwow where we never bow down singing loud and proud like our ancestors now!" 03:28: "That's the sound of predecessors talking over the suppressors!" Damn SNRK! Two epic phrases in a row! I'm using those at the powwow!

I'm from Whidbey Island and heard this really refreshing, new sounding rap on a Canadian radio station beaming across the border. Who is this? I gotta hear more of these guys was my first thought! I'm 61 years young and love this group. Their 'nailing' it as far as clever lyrics, bringing forth the Old Ways in New Ways that are speaking truth and transforming oppression and empowering the People to be proud, alive and free. SO beautiful. Thanks for standing on behalf of the earth no matter what, and speaking up for values of community, healing and helping each other and smashing those stupid negative stereotypes that have brought the First Peoples down for over 500 years. Time to rise up and claim the positive Power of the People. This is it right here. The Spirit infuses these young wild n 'crazy'-brilliant youngsters!

This track is so sick, man, believe dat. These boys should be infamous, for real. You just got a subscriber just for having this video uploaded. I first heard it on FNX and I just had to find it where I can listen to it whenever I feel like listening. One love from another native from Alaska, keep it Rez.

What do you think of Metis? My grandma was Ojibwe. I look pretty European, but two of my sisters look totally Native, and they've had a completely different experience than I have. Blue eyes and whiter skin seem to go a long way unfortunately. I still feel deeply connected to Native Canadian culture, and want to learn more.
