UPDATE: USE UNITY 2019.4.31!!!! VRCHAT CHANGED THEIR UNITY VERSION WHICH MADE VSEEFACE UPDATE TO THAT VERSION. DON'T USE 2019.4.29!!! (I mean you can but it's better to use 2019.4.31) For extra information: Custom light settings are just the same method with the camera, you can drag the camera to a specific bone and mess with the settings, even create it as a hot key to be disabled by default and enable when button is pressed. Also Emiliana mentions that VSF_Static component keeps the position fixed which is useful for custom lights and cameras.

Hello there, I got as far as Exporting The Avatar Bundle, The only modification I made to the VRM was it's Materials, but when I reached the Export step, I got the error: "Component Missing: VRM Meta". I have all the Files and Information for the Model, but I'm not quite sure what this error message is requesting. Might you know how I satisfy it with this "VRM Meta" it requires? Thanks Kana. Edit: I've now fixed this, but now when I export, I get what appears to be the Error Message Box, with no text displaying what the error is, and I therefore can't complete an Export of any sort. Might you know what I've done wrong?

Thank you so much for this tutorial! You have helped me so much! This was literally the only video I could find that clearly explained how to use vsf sdk to make wing animations and add a blend shape for them! While I was here, I decided to try your particle tutorial as well and was successfully able to implement that as well as using poiyomi shaders for glitter on my clothes! You do a wonderful job explaining things in Unity as I have had so much trouble figuring a lot of it out up until this. Thank you so much for what you do for VTubers who are just learning!

For toon shaders MToon alone is capable of 2D shading, it's a matter of how your model's textures look like, the outline set up, shade color, normals, etc. Check Royal Skies tutorial for editing your model to become for "anime". If your model is Vroid there are guides on making the textures more toon. A big tip is to not always rely on the shader alone to be the toon set up, it helps enhance it so if you had the default Vroid textures or realistic textures on the model with too many details the "2D" feel will be gone. (My deleted comment on SourceFilmMaker was meant for someone else in case you were wondering)

@@itskiggu Mainly the original guides on anime models are from Guilty Gear conferences on the behind the scenes or even from Daniel Kreuter who does Blender guides. Making perfect anime models will be a pain but eventually will look amazingly when done right.

i like this tutorial but i think your capture isn't showing us anything you click and it's a bit confusing sometimes tbh, i suggest putting up text with the paths or capturing it in a way that shows the windows you click as well. You explain it very well but sometimes we have to click 8 things in a row and it's hard to follow at that point as a beginner when you just say it all in a row. Thank you for the video though, it's amazing information.

This is due to OBS and the Windows Capture since I haven't set my computer to censor my real name and I don't want to accidentally reveal personal info like I accidentally did in a past tutorial which was deleted and reposted 3 times because it kept getting revealed. I tried to at least show some images to give you the idea on how to get it working. Emiliana also has her guide along with Deat who has the settings shown which are easier to follow.

According to what you want, there really isn't that method. You have to have the wing animation registered on each of the main VRM blendshapes such at Fun, Angry, Surprised, Sorrow, etc. If you have iPhone blendshapes or a simple mouth smile blendshapes that isn't a part of the main VRM expressions, then you have to make sure the flap animation is not set on the non-VRM default face emotes and instead make sure VSeeFace sets those blendshapes to additive.

You freeze pose by the UniVRM addon NOT VSF SDK. Also you should freeze pose anyways before exporting to VRM originally by the way to prevent issues for certain models.

I have a strange case and I was piecing a lot and a lot of hours of research and tutorials together to get a solution which I GOT. You were the last step I needed, However, when I exported my model, the character isn't apparent in VSeeFace. It's completely not there. It may or may not be an issue of misused poiyomi shaders, I will try looking into them, However, I highly suspect it might be the case.

I recommend using free Poiyomi shader as Poiyomi Pro is reported to have some issues if that is the case. You just add Poiyomi glitter shader. Also you MUST have a VRM model to convert to VSFAvatar, it can't be an FBX or VRChat prefab model to VSFAvatar.

@@SaffySweetsMToon can utilize VRM material blendshapes as VRM is restricted on MToon/Unlit/Standard Shader as the default shader. Poiyomi can only work with asset bundle models like VSeeFace and toggles for custom shaders require an anim file to control. Similar to how VRChat users set it up.

If it's something to do with tail movement, then don't animate the tailbone that has phyics cause Unity doesn't allow spring bones to be animated. If it's humanoid animation, I have another tutorial that covers how to do that.

I have the issue in 13:30. The first time it happened I just created a new project and start over. But it happend again... I tried deleting the sdk, closing unity and then reinstall the sdk but the problem is still there. I dont know what to do :( I dont want to start again

Sadly that is a bug, I talked with Emi and while she did a fix for it, it kept happening to some. Try not to delete a blendshape clip with your VRM model. Also consult Emiliana via Discord at discord.gg/zvmWBPnePc to get further help.

Make sure the FBX animation is set to humanoid and make sure your VRM model has the VSF Animation componenet to read the animation. File must be VSFAvatar not VRM in order to get animation working.

You need a unity package. Vsf files CAN NOT be edited. Vsf models REQUIRE the unity package file or the unity project file to "edit".

Sounds like you had an error when exporting your VRM file. Make sure to use UniVRM 0.66 for exporting your model, I advise join Deat's Discord server in the description so you can speak with Emiliana about error.

I was able to save everything but opening the exported file in VSF gives an error asking me to confirm that I used the correct unity version (I was). : / Not sure what to do. I've tried a couple of times now.

Make sure visemes are properly registered in VRM. VRM requires that after exporting FBX to VRM, you MUST re-import the VRM model and add the blendshapes and then export again.

Go to Blender, Import VRM model in Blender using VRM_Import addon at github.com/saturday06/VRM_Addon_for_Blender/archive/release.zip Then once VRM model is imported, create your humanoid animation, then when finished registering your frames using the I key and register by Rotation, Scale, and Position, you then export the model as FBX, click and drag exported FBX model to your VSF SDK unity project, set the newly imported FBX model to humanoid and then register the animation from that FBX file to your VSF_Animations. Complicated and I plan to probably make a guide about this in the future since it is kind of complicated to get humanoid animations to work.

EDIT: I could only put 1 particle system per animation and blendshape, I was trying to put blendshapes for a headset that had music particles coming from both sides, it wasn't working until I separated the particles in 2 different animations. So I couldn't activate more than 1 particle system with one key. Thanks for clarifying, I'm gonna try again and see if I can put 2 in 1 animation this time

Actually you can put two or more particles in a single animation. My model has one animation where it creates snow particles from both two hands. Please make sure to properly register the keyframes for the single animation and make sure the particles are within the model's hierarchy.

My one advice that might also help keep two particles in one animation is to create an empty game object connected to the head bone and have the particles parented to the empty game object and have that one game object be enabled and disabled to have two particles be activated as one.

@@masterpiece568 Ah, there is an effect called VSeeFace Particle shader, make sure to set that up for your particles since that shader (Built into VSF SDK) is what allows transparency for VSeeFace. Create a material by right clicking and add material, set shader to VSeeFace Particle Shader and set your transparency settings, make sure to apply any vertex settings at the bottom of the shader and then either click and drag material to particles or try to register the shader within the particle effects' settings. It may take trial and error but it should be able to work. Also if you need an invite to Deat's Discord server for more tips about VSeeFace, you can check the invite in the description and join to be able to check out all tips and even future troubleshooting help from the creators for VSeeFace.

Hey so this is pretty awesome but I'm having an issue. I made a custom animation for my model and stuff and I did everything the way you did, but I'm getting an error when I try to export the model. Double check your Unity version since it must be 2019.4.31. Check that you have the newest build of VSeeFace and the VSF SDK. Check that you have either UniVRM 0.66 or 0.89. Also refer to my other two tutorials on non-humanoid (My newest tutorial) and humanoid animation for more info on making sure the animation is done right.

Apparently the newer version of Poiyomi requires the shader to be locked in order for it to work. I personally use LilToon because of that.
