Snow Blower on a Kubota Tractor - Buffalo Snow Storm 2024

This is the first snow storm of 2024. Most towns in my area averaged around 30" of snow over the course of a weekend. I ended up with approximately 20" of snow. However during this storm we had sustained winds of 40mph so that didn't leave much in the driveway for me to clean up with my Kubota L4701 and snow blower.

Looked like it would've been quicker as a snowpusher(no auger) and and alot warmer for you☕have mine mounted on the front of a JD F935 and it works great as a snowpusher and nice to know l have the blower when needed. Good luck, stay warm

I have a pusher on the front of my tractor, however this was the first storm I was able to try out the blower as it is new to me and I wanted to give it a run for its money!

We don't get enough snow to justify buying snow removal equipment.... Yesterday we got 12 inches. I was out of town and got my Subaru Legacy stuck halfway up my 100 yard driveway. It didn't like trying to plow snow. I ended up using my box blade and loader to move enough snow to get the car up the driveway. A blower would have been nice!

Hopefully not, but its got 2 shear pins and a slip clutch so hopefully if that happens I wont get any tractor damage!

Have you considered building your own cab? I'm giving it some serious thought as more often than not I don't have the luxury of waiting until the winds subdue and the sun comes out - nighttime + snow in the face is getting old quick 😂

Why are you blowing the snow in front of the blower instead of off to the side ?

That's a fantastic question, I actually lost the footage where I explained that. I am trying to make a little sledding hill in my front lawn so I was accumulating all the snow with the blower until I got it to where I wanted it.

That is pretty awesome. How are the wheels on the blower working for you? It didn't look like it dug into the driveway gravel, which was the goal. I heard some clinking, but maybe some icy chunks?

@@EverythingElliott Makes sense, thanks. I picked up a Homestead pusher this weekend. Worked really well. Thinking about adding a blower next year for the bigger snowfalls. Will be curious to see what your usage ratio is over the year between the two implements…and what factors drive the decision to use one over the other on any given day/situation. Please keep us posted. I think that would be an interesting end of season video.
