I don't understand our youth today, I'm 57, and I can't work no more, cause of 6 back surgeries, I can't walk for more than 3 minutes or stand, and damn don't I miss working so much, I was a steel fabricator for over 23 years, until some new guy decided to hop on the forklift and then crushing me against my bench and stack shelf, he forgot to look back when reversed, I waved compensation and sued the company for having unlicensed ppl use forklifts. We'll that's my sad story for the day, lol.

Today’s dollar gets a lot less than it did 40 years ago so I can understand a kid not wanting to do back breaking labor for a certain rate of pay. I was once a teenager and I’ll admit I didn’t always go into work or stay late but when I worked, my effort and production were noticeable.

I dont do snow removal on very many drives but for sure understand how being on time is very important. I start removing snow at 2am or 3am depending on conditions. You gotta be quick efficient and do quality work. However i dont higher any help because i dont need it . But understand how frustrating it would be to have help that doesn't show on time

My understanding like on the track of the storm is so cold in north that no moisture whatsoever and the warm air from the South couldn't make it up this far north. To get big snow or any snow when its this cold need What they call clipper systems

We use the Zello app on our fire dept and it’s kind of a pain in the ass like it is for you. Worst thing for us is our radios are on a repeater system and the app transmits through that so when someone talks through the app it echos on the receiving end. Plus not having cell service it doesn’t work. Though we have some regular dead spots in town for our normal radios and the app works great for getting a message message across in those areas.

Question: why do you not pile the snow up higher on the pile? Especially with a V-Plow where you can close it sum and as you get to the pile start tapping up on remote then fully raise it and open it in one motion to push pile higher then rotate blade left and right which knocks the snow back more to give you more room. Just wondering. Like maybe you guys haul it out after big snows.
