CAT is KING. My father started our grading company in the early 80s with a Cat 953B track loader and the damn thing is still making us money to this day. We only buy Cat equipment and got a few Sany excavators for the grading side. John Deere is only gonna make you money if it’s painted all green and in a field row crop farming.

@ they are reliable and will get the job done but will suck as far as comfortability goes for the operator. Cat is like the Cadillac and Sany the cheapest base trim Chevy model. They’re real jerky and have to be sitting completely level and can be aggravating when you’re cutting down and close to grade. The seats and cabs are not as good and seem too small for us American men. They will start every morning and have very few breakdowns though and from what I can tell each year the new models seem to be getting better by fixing some of the issues the earlier ones have. If you’re used to operating Cat excavators you’ll cuss it at first until u get used to it.

Guess it just depends on what machine you taking about..John Deere pretty solid on Backhoes and dozers Cat excavators and bobcats smaller equipment..it’s all personal preference though
