I'm glad I went with Ego. I'm not sure this would have done the clean up the Ego has done so far. got a vid in my channel if interested. It's 2022 snow removal.

Hi, thanks for the comment. I have recently purchased the EGO 56V two stage snowblower and it’s soooo much better than this Snow Joe.

Good demo I got this one in 2019 - I found the shut too slow and buttons were hard to use with mitts. Blower overall as poor, jammed 3 times. Looks like they now updated the 2 stage controls. I think the Ego might be a better bet though. Cheers

I think the Ego is the better unit, I compared them last winter/spring. If I was to replace this unit I would either go Ego or I'd go to gas because I need more time than one battery set allows.

@@InternetDude Toro now out out with an Electric -- they have 3 battery option. Cheers

I got the latest EGO single stage with metal auger and it's done well this winter. The only sound it makes is the moving of the snow. Otherwise very quiet. That Snow Joe did well in some thick stuff near the Jeep.
@InternetDude3 жыл бұрын
Good to know. I've watched videos of the 2-stage EGO and it has a high pitched whining sound.
@alexnutcasio9363 жыл бұрын
InternetDude I have single stage which tends to be quieter. My EGO would have tackled your snow. All depends on how heavy snow is and height.

The snowfall seen in this video is below average for us. We either get a little bit which is easy to shovel or a heck of a blast where shovelling really isn't an option. Around here it's cold so it's usually not wet heavy either.

InternetDude single stage EGO eats up light fluff stuff. The speed is adjustable.

Good for light snow up to 8 inches battery don't last that long take about 3 hour to charge not good for wet or hard packed snow that's the Conns pos no gas starts up easily light weight no maintenance good for walkways small drive ways

I find I get 20-30 mins on the batteries, the recharge time is way too long though, that's right. If I was buying a new one today I'd consider the Ego 56V over this model. The newer 100V SnowJoe model has many improvements too. I very much like that this isn't too heavy and I don't need to worry about gas or stink.

My neighbor has the 2 stage ego snowblower and his batteries last about the same amount of time as yours (20-30 minutes). His snowblower did good until he got to the end of his driveway where the plow piles up the snow and his blower had a hard time going through it

The 80V unit I have would have stopped if things got too hard. It stops to protect the motor I guess. I've seen some videos of the EGO 56V and it does appear to power through more than the one I have. These are all not quite as good as gas blowers but they are very close now in 2021!

InternetDude that's why I got rid of Toros. They served me well and were very reliable , but the noise and stink got to be too much. Look at the EGO two stage with 10 amp hour batteries. I opted for better batteries and glad I did. It takes about 1 hour to charge a battery from 0-100%. ( there's two in the EGO).
@Jon-hx7pe3 жыл бұрын
why not just get a 15 amp model with a cord? way more power.
@InternetDude3 жыл бұрын
Because portability, I sometimes have to go far enough an extension cord wouldn’t reach.

@@InternetDude let us know how it and the batteries hold up over time. i once used a new single stage battery powered snow joe, was such a piece of crap not engineered for the canadian winter. yours looks better but still probably chinese.
@InternetDude3 жыл бұрын
This one is quite good. I wish I had a second pair of batteries for more run time, however they are like $500. Crazy. If I get into snow too deep it will stop the auger to protect itself, not as good as a gas snowblower but way easier than shovelling LOL If I was buying today I'd probably go for an Ego 56V model. From what I've seen online it puts this SnowJoe to shame. This is tech you're buying so every few years there is something better out!
