Thanks for your lesson playing, Chasing Cars. Know how to play the open chords but wanted to learn the alternative riff and other chords around the 7 to 5th frets. Well explained.

Thank you so much for your lesson, you know I've been looking for half a year for a nice easy song I could play, I tried different lessons, but something didn't work out or maybe I didn't have enough patience, anyway I listened to your clear explanation and here I am, able to play the whole song for the first time 😊👍

I've experimenting with this song I'm a complete beginner I've only really been practising for 2 months and chasing cars is the one I'm practising now and I've experimenting with a capo and it's worked very well for me

Don't know many songs by the levellers and the ones I do know have probably been done to death, but I will certainly bear it in mind for the future.. Glad your finding the lessons useful. Thanks for watching ;)

Hi Joe, at about 6:50 you say that playing the 5th and 3rd string is the proper way, as opposed to playing the 4th string open. Could you please explain why?
@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons6 жыл бұрын
That’s just how they do it, either way is cool though.
@elisaprato6 жыл бұрын
OK, thanks :-) I thought there was a musical reason .
@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons6 жыл бұрын
I think it’s just a question of taste, sometimes the note after or preceding can have a bearing on where you might play the note, also picking style, in this case alternate picking, is the way to go
@elisaprato6 жыл бұрын
I see. By the way I find it hard to blend either alternatives with the singing. I know that that's what they are playing, and it probably only has to do with the fact that I'm a beginner.
@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons6 жыл бұрын
Yep, it’s not easy to sing and play at the same time.
