Most people don’t know that another idea for a music video was the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima... Paul Landers (Riff) Interview MTV Masters, Germany 2001. The idea was that the band would be the crew of the plane that would drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima in 1945. During the chorus the mushroom cloud of the explosion would be shown. It would then go on to show the conflict of the band, and how they were able to drop the bomb, knowing that people down there died a horrible death. nice Reaction, greetings from Germany❤

Originally this song was written as an entrance song for the heavy weight boxer Vitali Klitschko, but his management refused the song as it seem to heavy for them. This in mind, the lyrics become senseful, right? As it was not used for the boxer, the band searched for another "backstory". While brainstorming about this, one member remembered a scene in a Snow White film where the dwarfs said, that Snow White is their sun. So it came to Rammstein's screwed up version of the Snow White story, with a harsh Snow White junkie addicted to gold.
