Americans love to watch people get shot with guns, lives are taken, but if you show them a birth, they'll freak out. Don't know if that's ridiculous or sad. Apart from that, no baby was pushed back into the womb, but the video ran backwards. Welcome to the 21st century, today it is actually possible to play something backwards. The art has been completely lost on you. It's hard to believe that we're dealing with an adult here.

A better question would be, what's wrong with art and the media if violence is normal but something as natural as birth is wrong?! That messed me up! That's why I love Rammstein so much, they don't care if they step on someone's toes! Never skip the credits of a video, it's disrespectful!!!

They aren't aliens but representations of time. Some people interpret them as the three Norns (Nordic goddesses of fate.). 🤷‍♂Who knows. The video just takes the artistic choice to show the time in the opposite way we are used to see it - I assume to let us focus on the time itself instead of the actions happening. "Zeit" (time) is the title track of their last album so far. That album is created under the impression of personal losses of the band members. And in almost all tracks of that album there is a melancholic touch, even in the upbeat and funny tracks. A central line in the lyrics of this song is "Zeit, bitte bleib steh'n, bleib steh'n" (time, please stop, stand still). Of course that is not possible. It's about the unstoppability of time and the finiteness of life.

@Cliff: everybody knows the perfect moment: here it's birth. The most natural and common thing on Earth. And you say it is disturbing? Why? The three "creatures" you see are not aliens, they are the three Norns (Nordic goddesses of fate.) Their names were Urd (also spelled Urdr, or Weird, meaning “Past”), Verdande (“Present”), and Skuld (“Future”). Rammstein is always playing with symbolic and they are always creating pure art. 🤩

It is not death. It is more likely time. Some also interpret the three Norns (past, present, future). Deities in Germanic mythology who are responsible for the fate of everyone in the form of woven threads. At the end of the video, one of the Norns takes the boy to her because his thread of fate has ended, and his time has also run out.

Sadly you didn´t watch the titles. Big mistake with Rammstein videos. The babies weren´t stuffed back (or were you kidding?). I mean the concept og the visuals are pretty obvious. The dark figures aren´t aliens, but Nornes. Look it up if you´re interested. And what the heck are you (among othe US reactors) so upset about seeing the most natural event in human life (or kidding again?).

They said a bunch of nothin else…not how many shots were fired, if the guard was targeted or if it had anything to do with the “beef” going on, or even if Drake was there…all that is “part of the investigation.” They haven’t spoken with Drake, but with his team, and they’re cooperating. They have video showing a vehicle with multiple suspects, but no description of either since there’s “video quality issues.” They’re just trying to keep everything under wraps since it’s, again, “still under investigation.” Hope that man didn’t get caught in crosshairs, prayers to him and his family.

Dude, all interpretations are valid obvs but I think it's really just an interesting look at life & mortality - the apparition is arguably 'death', claiming souls & melding the child back into the cosmos, but then with the whole video playing in reverse (folk getting younger, eventually reversing their birth) you could imagine it switched forward as giving life and creating joy. Both are true, and we're lucky to be here at least as much as we are cursed 😃❤️😬 x

Rammstein always turns Comments off... That's just how they are. It's the same like interviews... they only give realy realy rarely interviews and only to choicen one..... When they get a award and everyone expect a speach, they go on stage, take the award, and say "thanks"... and then they leave the stage again.... that's just how they are :D

I think I commented this before though that may have been before I subbed so no idea if you might've seen it, but if you're interested in this kind of music and diverging a bit away from hip-hop, I'd suggest Lamb of God by Marilyn Manson. It's from 2002 but still holds up as a modern commentary on media etc. Might be of interest to you.

I kinda love, how (mostly) american men are freaked out by the sight the most natural thing there is for humans: birth. What is wrong with you guys? Everybody that ever lived, went through this (pun very much intended!). Why are you (plural!) so grossed out by the sight of it? It's quite fascinating from an european perspective. It’s not an alien but a representation of time. We all, have a limited time we better use it. The video is running backwards to show the one thing time cannot do. Knowing time is limited and inevitably moving forward. The sands of time represent the time being unable to cling to. Seeing how people became soldiers even through we start of all as innocent babies and it’s just a birth but as the video it’s reversed.
