In this video we're snowboarding in Whistler on the first scary double black diamond of the season. The Alpine chairlifts are still not open so we are hiking to the top. We are all riding all mountain and powder snowboards which are perfect for these conditions!

I was pretty deep into snowboarding during my college years and I honestly loved everything about it enough to consider it a passion. But due to life taking its toll (weight gain, depression etc.), I haven't been able to go in over 5 years. I'm not like I used to be. My body aches, nor am I as cheerful as I once was but I'm really going to make the push to go to Big Bear at least one time this season. Sorry for the sob story but I didn't realize how much snowboarding meant to me until the prospects I once had are now gone, or at least seemingly so.

I’ve only skied like 4 times, 3 of which were in gatlinberg Tennessee haha. Went to whistler this past week. Sending it off peak express and 7th heaven was nuts. I took it slow on those gnarly runs and definitely learned a lot. Thought I was gonna die dropping in off a massive cornice multiple times. The amount off cliffs in whistler is crazy

I took my dad down this run last year. He was not happy when once you get into its super steep and you have to traverse. Its not really difficult and if you fall its not bad. Pretty great run though just is a knee burner I think the left side entrance is a lot better than the couloir extreme.
