Snowfall in Zermatt Switzerland and Mattervispa, Winter Snow Walk and City Sounds

Walking during snowfall Zermatt, Switzerland. I did a similar walk here a year ago in the rain. Thought I'd come back and film during the snowfall. Zermatt is a mountain resort renowned for skiing, climbing and hiking. I stayed in Zermatt for about a week photographing Matterhorn. This is day 2 of my visit to Zermatt before I continue on traveling the Swiss Alps. This audio consist of river sounds from the Mattervispa as well as city sounds and snowfall and birds. Sounds can be used for sleep, study and meditation. Enjoy!

As someone who lives in a tropical country, this is something that I envy. Although I understand that there are also negative effects of having this much snow, I can't ignore the fact that it brings a new season of beauty and calmness in the scenery.

I used to think the same, but then I lived in Switzerland for some years and realized that seeing everything white and cold gets tiresome very fast! I really only have stomach for snow and freezing temperatures for about 6-8 weeks max during winter, mainly from early December to early February, but Zermatt stays snow-white and freezing cold for way longer than that, so it's pointless to envy a place I really don't want to live. It's nice to go there a week or two during winter, but in general I prefer the Alps from June to October, much more colorful and inviting to spend time outside... because although most people say it looks pretty and calm covered in snow, the reality is that most people also don't like hanging outside with freezing temperatures.

@@you2be839 I’m wondering, in the alps of Swiss you always see these small villages, but me as a city person can’t imagine how life works there, not sport club, no church, or only a really old church, not my type. And small amount of jobs. Is it really a living village or is it more a ski village and all pure tourisme? Hope you respond
