I have loved watch Jessa go from a young child, to teenager, to wife and mother. She has made a wonderful family and I love watching her blossom into her own person. PS the snow looks incredible, and that gorgeous snow on your favourite road. I have never seen the snow before

Aww!! Sledding is so much fun when you have an awesome hill to sled down! I agree Jessa, there has always been one road in every place I have lived that looks beautiful in all seasons and is my favorite to drive. It's the little things. I truly enjoy all seasons, but my favorites are fall and winter.

I’ve lived with snow all my life (current level is up to my knees this winter) and I have never heard of snow ice cream!! Definitely something I’m going to try out with my kids. Thanks for the idea.

it's a southern thing I think... we so rarely get any that when we do get it we have a party with it as many different ways as we can. Didn't know there was a recipe for it though... my momma, and now me just poured milk in the bowl... added sugar till it looked right (lol) then couple of dashes of vanilla till it turned a slightly off white color... then you add snow till it looks about like hers did. Couple other rules for it too... it has to be FRESH snow, as in you make it the day it snows, the next day it doesn't work right. Can't be made from the first snow of the season unless you get more than 2-3 inches. Always take just the top inch may 1.5 inches never any deeper. No snow? same recipe just freeze it in coffee mugs, use metal spoons to shave it when eating it and we called it poor-mans icecream. (it freezes SOLID like icecubes, to eat it you have to scrape the top of it with something strong like a metal spoon and you eat the shavings gathered in your spoon)

I love the innocence of kids. They looked absolutely thrilled. They would have had a blast a week ago in Colorado, when we got dumped on. We make snow ice cream with snow, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Never heard of it with heavy cream, then you didn't even use the cream, you used milk instead lol.

Looks like they had a blast! When I was growing up we did the milk sugar and vanilla. Now with my grandchildren we just add sweetened condensed milk to the snow and it works great! Just a little tip!

Yall seem like such an amazing family. I was born in the north raised in the south and moved back north as a teen, so my girls have been raised in the north their whole lives.
