It’s so much easier with multiple kids! My oldest does her own in her room but my 6 other kids clothing is all in one room to make it easier since they don’t do their own clothing yet

Whenever I think of being a mom in the future the thought of laundry and a whole bunch of clothes overwhelms me. Because I remember how disorganized and hectic it was in my family to have so much clothes, dressers, drawers, disorganized closets etc. I thought about doing more of a capsule wardrobe for myself and my family too, but I was told I was being "cheap and lazy." . Lol good to know that it can be done successfully. I think it's smart and practical 🤷🏽‍♀️

I lived in a van for four months and it was the happiest time in my life. I loved having one bin of clothes and just cycling through my favourite five outfits. You really don't need more than that. When I moved back into the house and came back to all my stuff I was overwhelmed. I loved the simplicity of five outfits.

I'm so excited seeing those cabinets in! Can't wait to see you living in it. You're so smart having the storage for kid's clothes in the laundry room. That sure makes it easier when you put things away. I love how both boys responded with "I'd like this room!" So very polite and respectful. Not demanding I WANT. And litter. You teach them all the good stuff for living peacefully.

I’m so very excited for u & Ben and the kids. So much room for your growing family. Two handsome little boys & two beautiful daughters. I love the fact that all your family doesn’t have 50 suites of clothes each. My grown daughter & two granddaughters age 18 & 21 have enough clothes to cloth a small country. Too excessive. I believe my daughter was 15 when u were born. She had clothes , nice ones, however nothing like this day & time. I’m so happy for you , Ben & the children. Can’t wait to see the finished home!! Lol…omg…how times have changed! My oldest is 27 years old, and I remember one night he was crying, and after being fed, changed, held…nothing worked, but being rocked in his bassinet….however, it was a 1994 bassinet, and did not rock or anything. My husband came up with the brilliant plan of tying a show lace to it, and we laid in bed, and rocked him with that shoe lace, until he fell asleep. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂😂😂😂

I am so happy for you and your family. After living in that smaller house you'll be happy with the extra room. You could declare one of the extra bedrooms as the playroom to keep the main or public part neat and tidy. Again, love your choices, can't wait to see the progress.

Btw I NEVER thought about folding the kids pants and putting them in the draw side ways...that is SO smart! You can see them and do not have to pull them all out to look for something. Love the idea of a shared closet in the laundry, the worst part of doing laundry is putting it away. Mine usually sit in the basket for a few days before it goes to it’s appropriate rooms then it sits in there another couple days before I finally put everything away lol

boys room, girls room and Ben's office /guest room. I think it's coming along great. You're wonderful at designing and space able to sketch out exactly what you need in each closet. I know you can’t wait to get moved! When we went from a 3 bedroom to a 4 bedroom, we felt like we had a mansion. I told the realtor it was so large, that I needed a riding vacuum cleaner. Your home is beautiful!
