Thanks Mike! Vid is a great primer for sled season. I too use the liner/muff combo here in Maine for long rides, especially at night.

I tried the fxr also and I to suffer from poor circulation in my hands, the fxr didn't work well only due to the insulation in the palms. Great video it was spot on.

Hey Mike, Great Video!! I agree FXR makes quality gloves. On cold days I use the FXR heated Recon gloves and carry a extra set of batteries in my pocket for al day use. Whats nice about them is you can turn them on while your getting geared up and when you getting ready to ride the gloves are nice and toasty warm. Take care🤙🏼

Thanks!! I have no doubts at all that the recon gloves are legit! I was going to mention them in my video and knew it would be on peoples minds… I just find it hard to justify recharging something else at night when our sleds come with heated grips.. 🤷♂️ They do have their unique advantages though like you mentioned!

Had Recons for 2 seasons. One died last year but FXR came through with full refund. They worked very well. Only negative is that they were bulky and heavily padded on the palm. Trying Klim electric gloves this year. No feedback yet but they seem to be thinner in the palm.

Hey keates,, I’ll be curious to see how the Klim heated gloves work out. Let us know 👍🏼 Take Care.

@@SometimeIsNow A little review on the Klim Resistors -- I've worn them on two very cold days (-20C and below). Compared to the Recons they are much less bulky and thinner in the palm. However they are not as warm either in or out of electric mode. The feature I hate about them is that when you put them on the High setting they only stay there for 10 min and then automatically switch to Med they say "to conserve battery and avoid over heating your hands". Really? Like I can't turn it down myself if I'm hot. Also I carry two sets of batteries so that I can swap them out to get through a full ride so I'm not concerned about run time. They will be fine on most days but the super cold ones I have muffs.

Yes same here in Southern Ontario so far lots of rain but colder temps on the way. (hopefully). I know there is a pile of snow in Cochrane Ontario right now but thats 10-12 hours north lol... Waiting on a couple little parts for the Viper to come in. If they work out I may do a video on it. Happy Holidays!

I really enjoyed this video. I myself also have very cold hands. I bought the fxr fuel gloves and returned them since I found them to be too cold (Although where I live it gets very cold quite often). I just ordered some hand guards and some new heat pads and grips since my heated grips didn't work well. Anyways, if you didn't run the muffs (which in my case I don't want them since I ride mostly off trail) which gloves would you use and recommend for cold hands? The klims? Thanks :)
@bikermike3 жыл бұрын
I can see your point with not wanting to use the muffs for off trail riding. You may want to try a combination of heated gloves and regular gloves. Keeping them dry is key for active riding. Once they get damp from sweat and your hands get cold after taking a break. That’s when the heated gloves might help?
@FrenchLeprechaun993 жыл бұрын
Yea heated gloves would be nice for sure! Although, I like regular gloves so I don’t have to rely on a battery. How were your klim gloves overall for riding without the muffs but the handle bar heaters on?

@@FrenchLeprechaun99 I always ride with muffs on now, it’s the only way to keep my hands warm, and more Importantly get them warmed back up quickly.
