I love this song, but it’s not a massive hit because the chorus makes no sense: “Crack” means the opposite of “open wide.” Also, he’s far too literate for an American pop audience.

This song is a very big part of my childhood. I always listened to Snow Patrol when I was young. Now I'm nearly 17 years old and I'm still listening to it. There are so many memories in my mind from this time when I came to school 11 years ago. Today it made me cry. Thank you to Snow Patrol for giving me these emotions. I'm so happy now.

8 years ago, I started talking to a guy that I fell for very quick. he got me so excited about life in general and made me look forward to my future.
