Snowplow Servicing

I run a Western HTS 7.5 on 2008 JKUR (4dr Jeep Unlimited Rubicon) since 2011. Bit different setup. Here ne NE Okla, I may not need it for several years, or only use once a year sometimes. I have 6 lots I regularly do. Mostly small lots, Sometimes more.. Only thing so far is I have worn off the skid feet. One wore totally off, just left the rod. I made a new foot to weld back on. Then took some HARD surfacing welding rod, and built up the bottom. That helped the wear on them. There is a bed knife I think it is called, that bolts to the bottom front for the scraping, that can be replaced. I havent yet. Wondering it maybe I can remove it and weld the hard surfacing rod along the bottom of it too. The ends have both worn maybe a ½" off. May not be that much.. After I had the plow about 5 years maybe, I bought the SERVICE kit for my model. Havent needed to use any of it so far. It had spare hoses in it, and few other things, dont remember what now thou. Basically it has dont great. I havent checked the oil in it yet. No more then it is used, havent thought it needed anything. But, maybe, I will see about removing the covers and inspecting..
