Fun fact, the H2 stock tires are "BF Goodrich K02" Which have the mountain peak, snowflake on them making them winter rated tires. They're really an "all weather tire". Not to be confused with an "All Season". The All Weather tire is a tire you can confidently keep all year around. An all season is... Honestly more of a sales gimmick. The rubber in all season tires harden around +7c where as the Tires that are Mountain-peak, snowflake rated are deisgned to stay soft in winter conditions. Sorry, im a tire technician and i felt like thats a cool detail they added and figure you all would enjoy it as well. The K02 is one of the most popular offroading tire here in North America, its main competition being the Goodyear Duratrac. which i better for mud, but not as good for highway driving

Oh is it that’s cool 👍🏻 so they actually aren’t far wrong by making these tyres a bit special compared to other stock options! Lol yeah there’s still a lot of tyre gimmicks here too mate, my uncle put some “winter tyres” on his car last year and practically understeered into the first kerb after leaving the garage and went back like what the heck are these lol worse than his “summer tyres”! To be honest here in the U.K. most people just make do with some kind of mid range tyre where it doesn’t need to face 40°c, and by the time it’s freezing and snowing everyone gets too scared to even drive for some reason lol? Nah no worries dude I like random info like that and you’re clearly the man in the know with them so I appreciate the info 👍🏻! It’s funny we don’t ever see BF Goodrich tyres here! See them a lot in films but they’re rare here! Goodyear are fairly popular, it’s brands like Michelin, Pirelli and goodyear that are the most common here really, then the budget sets which seem to change name every 2 minutes anyway lol!

I think that scout vehicle’s are good for exploring watchtowers if you don’t know the route to it and for completing the point to point time trials as they can usually be in dodgy places. Also congrats on 2k subs!

Yeah they’re perfect for that! They all seem to have great fuel usage, compared to trucks so when you don’t know where your next fuel top up is coming from, they’re handy to explore 👍🏻! I think all scouts need a bit of a tweak with how well or not well they handle some terrain, just a bit, after you’ve got some decent trucks, there’s not really a scout that’s like the Tayga fast but just as capable off road and I don’t know why really, even if you unlock it at level 30 so it’s not easy mode from the start, but considering I’m not going to be doing missions etc with them, all I want some times is to zip to the other end of the map and it does do that, but that black river crossing took me 15 minutes or more in the Ck1500! Which fully wasted any time gained, I’d have got there in that slow kolob faster overall! Thank you dude I appreciate it, I’ve been so busy I’ve hardly realised it’s gone up that quick still! But I genuinely do appreciate everyone’s support and help and it’s been a really fun time making these and I’ve enjoyed talking to people in the comments if/when I get time 👍🏻

After unlocking some of the best off roads like the Tayga and Voron, I find myself using scouts less and less. They're still good for "Scout"ing before taking a high saddle trailer through the woods, or rescuing your Tayga after attempting a land speed record. Great content, keep it up!

Yeah I fully agree dude! They need to make at least some of the scouts faster since they don’t deliver cargo (they can but it’s not the best choice lol) so it’s like all they can really do that’s useful is race to an area quickly in theory, but they don’t even do that unless it’s roads the whole way! I get it would make the game easier at the start, but then let us unlock a final beasty engine for them all at level 30 so now they all fly and go better off road! That’s exactly why if I’m going for a rescue, I take the Azov or Tayga and the loaf, because the Azov or Tayga will fly much quicker to where I need to be, but then the loaf can get up awkward narrow gaps and has a longer reaching winch and amazing pulling power, so I have more rescue options than I have from a truck alone, but I have the truck speed to get there quickly! Haha land speed records are important, it’s pioneering business only for those who want to further our species haha I respect it 👍🏻

I live in Oregon where a lot of people drive pickup trucks with lifted suspension and the occasional Hummer (and every third house seems to have a Jeep Wrangler). I've always thought of the Hummer as a big vehicle, but actually if you line it up alongside the Chevy CK in the game it's the same size if not slightly smaller. Gotta have that muscle power under your foot for the school run and grocery shopping. I did a quick test at the airport. I took each scout out at the garage to turn left and drive through the fence and snow to the start of the runway. Every scout was slow in the snow except the Tartarin, and that's slow everywhere else.

Haha to be honest dude I bet in America they don’t seem as massive, sat next to our European hatchbacks they look enormous haha! But cool! Yeah maybe they could scale it up a tad, or maybe it is just that size? I’ve seen a few here and there but not that familiar with them! Exactly lol you never know if some off roading will take place going to the shops and it’s best to be prepared for such an event lol 👍🏻! Oh my god dude do you know how many hours alone I’ve spent driving over that bloody snow bit lol! It’s so much worse than it looks lol! That’s why I was dragging all my loafs over with the Azov in some other video, the loaf will make it quicker than the hummer but not my much! They’re all painfully slow lol! Even some of the trucks suck over there that are alright in most snow! Hahaha exactly that’s my problem with the tatarin, it’s occasionally nice to have 1 speed everywhere no matter the terrain, but man if I needed to travel a map and a half to go do a rescue or something, I wouldn’t take that, I start watching KZbin and not even looking when I drive that lol I get so bored of it

Hummer tires were nerfed with the update. I did some testing and they seem a bit slower in mud than the mud tyres but way faster on trails and roads.

Oh did they that’s a shame! A few people told me I should try them and yeah they’re still clearly pretty nice, I just wish they were in 39’s as well! They are cool tyres though I’ll probably use them on my hummer now as they drift on the sweet spot so nicely lol or did on that icy road 👍🏻

It’s Mr Lone Wolf the hummer tyres used to be better than mud tires in mud they had excellent in all three categories and were sorta on par with the chained tires on rocks they nerfed the hummer tires hard. They also seem to have a higher tire pressure after the update as they don’t squish as easy on rocks.

Yeah, if you check the relevant game files they removed the adjusted value for substance friction, so the Hummer tyres are now identical to other scouts' offroad tyres but with the asphalt friction of highway tyres.

A good rally test for the mud would be on Zimnegorsk. Like where you turn left coming out of the garage towards the way to Rift, but turning down the road instead that goes down the east side of the map. Maybe have the race be from the garage to the trailer store. That road has to have the worst mud pits one after the other in the game.

Yeah there’s enough maps that I may try a road like that, I’ll test it out and have to see as I don’t want to make the stages too slow, I more want to get up to top speed and see how well I can hang on without crashing lol! But either way I’m going to have some kind of event with tougher roads too 👍🏻

It’s Mr Lone Wolf yeah this definitely would be a slower race, but considering most of this game is about getting through deep mud I think it would a good test. In between the mud pits are some areas where the faster trucks could pull away from the slower vehicles.

I'd say the Tartarin is my favorite scout. Slow on road, but I actually find it faster offroad. It just plows though everything without a care. Even the Tayga and stuff (if your trying not to damage the vehicle) has to slow down for ruts and stuff. But the Tartarin just rolls over everything, it just goes it's speed and there is no stopping it. Partly why I sold the Loaf is because I always have a Tartarin with me. Why do I need a Loaf? Example one time I was in my Navi and hauling one of those big trailers through Alaska. I was in Offroad High and going down the highway I took a turn to tight, clipped my trailer tire, trailer rolled over and took the Navi with her. Now with how I seen you do things you'd take a Tayga or Azov and the Loaf, use the big truck as a anchor and use the Loaf winch to slowly haul the trailer and truck back over. Meanwhile I just get the Tartarin, I didn't even disconnect the Navi from the trailer I just left everything attached together. Just drive the Tartarin over, hook up which, give the trailer a little tug via giving the Tartarin a shot of gas, trailer and truck just rolls back onto their wheels. In seconds I'm back on the road again. If anything you got to be careful recoving with the Tartarin. It has so much power not only will it flip a trailer upright but it'll roll it over again if you give the Tartarin to much a shot of gas. lol

The Tartarin has its place but for "pure" scouting the Taz 166 did it for me. The Tartarin is a nightmare for navigating close forests in the Russian maps, too big, too long, can't turn on a dime. The Taz has no trouble weaving in and out of those tight trees to fetch upgrades or reach the watchtowers.

@@ziploc2000 I have 3 scouts. Tartarin is good for scouting but also vehicle rescue. 6X6 broken down and stuck in a swamp. Hook on the Tartarin via winch and just drive, makes recover a piece of cake. Usually I use the Yar 6X6 for collecting and selling trailers. Sure the Tartarin can haul them via winch, but you can't sell them regardless unless you have a vehicle that can connect properly. So may as well put out the Yar for trailers. For cutting around forests and such I actually quite enjoy the Hummer H2. It's pretty low profile so it's rare it ever catches a tree branch, it's narrow and short enough to get though even the thickest of forests. Lovely little truck for catting around and getting place. So 3 vehicles with 3 different uses. But overall I say I've settled on using the Tartarin the most.

Yeah the tatarin is one speed everywhere for sure, but it’s just not quick enough for me, and it’s turning circle is gigantic, and a lot of the time it’s lifting it’s front axles up so you can’t even steer! It’s fun but I rarely if ever use it because I have loads of faster trucks that can get everywhere the tatarin can and more in some cases! That’s not amazing for water depth! Well it’s good but I mean overall it’s not the tallest! Haha everyone needs a loaf! I bet money there’s places the loafs can get that the tatarin can’t because it’s too wide for some bits where trees and rock cliffs are blocking the way! Not always but I know for a fact when I set off in the loaf, I’ll get there first time, the tatarin I’ll get there first time but very slow with multiple 7 point turns and maybe even get blocked by a narrow gap or ledge and then have to fetch something smaller! Like in the example you gave, yeah by all means the tatarin is a beast and will flip a Navistar no problem, just like the loaf lol, but if you had to travel a map and a half to get there, I’d win in the loaf alone, but I could also load the loaf into a truck in 20-30 seconds and then fly there, and have a backup vehicle if roll on the way, if a tatarin alone rolls on the way then it’s recover or more rescue, yeah you could have the autonomous but then you lose winch length and power so it’s a costly trade! But obviously you use whatever floats your boat, I’m not hating on the tatarin lol, but you did ask why you need a loaf haha and there’s millions of reasons! The fact it practically always flips back to its wheels, the tatarin is great for that, but the loaf is better lol! The tatarin can take damage quite easy too on the tyres, and whereas the tatarin has good pull on its own (my loaf has flipped azov’s etc on video without truck wedges lol) if you tried to wedge the front onto anything it’ll slide up over, turning around to use the back to wedge can be awkward or impossible on a dodgy part of the map with tight trees etc! Like flipping the kolob in yesterday’s video, the loaf got it back in less than 5 seconds, I bet the tatarin would have took longer and been harder to wedge but would need a wedge on a steep snowy hill etc At the end of the day they’re both fine for 90% of rescues and yeah if I rolled outside my garage I’d happily whip the tatarin out, but the loaf is there for you when it’s those 10% of rescues in the worst spots where you really need it to happen, that’s what the loaf does haha makes it happen 👍🏻

@@itsmrlonewolf You know I hear a lot of people talk about tire damage, but personally I rarely ever get that. Sometime when I hit the suspension hard I'll see the red symbol pop up telling me I took tire damage, but then I look at my health bars and tires is still at full health. In regards of actually having a flat, I think I've had one like once the whole time I've been playing this game. And that was only due to I think a glitch as I ran over stuff in the Rift that I guess you shouldn't run over. lol So yea, not really afraid of tire damage. But yea I use the Autonomous \scout winch. The Tartarin don't need a powerful winch. Just hook on any winch to any rolled over vehicle, drive forward and give it just a little tug, and that rolled vehicle will flip right up. I agree the Tartarin don't have the best turning circle, but it's weight and power is what I love about it. Anything the Tartarin wants the Tartarin gets, need to flip a truck it's flipped. Need to tow a busted truck out of wood well that truck is going wherever the Tartarin wants it to go regardless if the truck likes it or not. Got a trouble truck that can't even manage to deliver it's own cargo (looking at you P12), hook on the Tartarin and that with cargo, trailers, whatever, Tartarin will drag it all, it absolutely does not care. It has it's flaws yea, every vehicle does. But I find the Tartarin's pro's more then makes up for the few shortcomings it does have. Like when I was using the P12 to get that trophy, it was in the Rift where I delivered a lot of that 10 cargo. And I'm sure your well aware what that passage to get into the Rift is like. There is only one way in there and yea, not exactly P12 friendly. lol But I got the P12 + a trailer in there, and that was thanks to the Tartarin. It did take a bit of fiddling around to get the Tartatin lined up on the rocks, no chains so it wanted to slide. But once I was in position I connected a winch to the P12 and went out around the cliff. The P12wanted to go over the edge, I seen it starting to tip and go but the Tartarin was just like "nope your coming with me" and just dragged the P12 back up over the ledge. It's just things like that which makes me love that little tank.

They need to make a scout that’s as fast as the hummer but still more like the tatarin off road! I don’t see the danger, it’s not like they deliver cargo well and so on, I just want to fly some places really quick and a Tayga will do that and then do the mission once I’m there 👍🏻! The loadstar is a brilliant scout, on rescue missions the loaf has it haha but that loadstar is well worth the money and the most versatile scout, I will review it soon too! Just wanted to make the rough first attempt this over any of those beauties haha! Lol good man that’s what I like to hear 👍🏻! The little loaf is amazing for what it costs and how it never rolls and just gets the job done! No frills, but it just doesn’t let me down like the rest! I love my Loafs dearly lol 👍🏻

I love the hummer. I was pretty upset that it wasn't the h1 when I first started playing but I have been really surprised by it. I now have 3, all set up different. It kicks the ck1500 ass. The game gave me 2 free chevys which I have sold both of after discovering the hummers potential. Gotta get some more loafs tho lol Been long ass time since I heard scatman lamo. Loved it

Yeah I agree dude I will definitely try all road surfaces, but yeah as it’s the first stage, just to see how fast they go flat out and handle on roads that it would be a good start 👍🏻! I use mine as my main "car sinced" scout and scouted most of drowned lands with it, but that was befor the update which nerfed the tyres on mod, which I don't like. After your roof rack vid, I toke of the roof rack itself be keapt the rear trunk supplis for some repear points and it's fast inofe for me.

I'm glad they fixed Hummer's stock tires' stats, this was very imbalanced. As for roof rack... I dunno, but my CK1500 still flies through the terrain even with small roof pack installed. 5.2l AAT is a very powerful engine...) eats like a tank also) Haven't tried the big rack yet, so... it's a matter of time.

@@vladvulcan the big rack slows it down way to much, I only used mine with a trailer for fuel because of the small rack not having lights, and when I fitted the big rack, I hated the ck with it, it felt crippled compared to a ck without it

@@Renault_75-34MX, I will definitely try it myself nevertheless. I think, the scouts without substantial amount of repair/fuel points are useless. Once you've discovered all the watchtowers (and it will definitely happen one time), you are facing the fact that you need the scouts no more longer. But if you can turn a scout into a mobile quick-response helper, which can deliver fuel or repairs faster than a big truck, these little machines don't seem to be such as useless.

@@vladvulcan I think that you would be best of with the load star with service cab and fuel trailer, that way you get a strong and versatile scout because of the various add ons like the crane for small/hard to reach cargo or a proper service truck with fitting lights and livery's.

@@Renault_75-34MX, The Loadstar is certainly a good one to have. But it's main problem is the fact, that it is a truck firstly, and a scout only secondly. Because of that, it has all of the truck upgrades, and they are a little bit harder to find and obtain, than upgrades for all other scouts, which are mainly passenger cars.

How about the butterfly? I like a lazy breast stroke, i.e. not submerging my face, as my preferred style for relaxed swimming with my kids. Keeps my face towards my target, and no splashing. Front crawl is OK if you have eye protection, but annoying if you don't.

Ziploc for some reason even though I’m fairly tall and skinny (not as since hitting 30 lol) I just don’t float at a nice level in water, so even with breast stroke I was more trying to keep my face out so I could breathe and yeah I just didn’t like it lol! I agree though now you said it, front crawl does splash your face which can be annoying lol! My solution in the end was to just not go swimming anymore haha

For the trophy/achievement... What vehicle has the best fuel efficiency for going through all maps on one tank of fuel? Obviously we need lifted suspension and chain tires. But all in all, truck has No attachments Best fuel economy engine with enough power to not get slow down Light enough for higher speed heavy enough for deep mud Etc...

Mr lone wolf here has a lot of personality and subtle humor, I feel a lot of that would be lost if he took an IGN style less personal approach to his videos. Once you start having to edit for time, it's easy to sacrifice or cut out a lot of the subtlety of your videos.

Jimmy don’t worry dude I’m not taking any offence to it, everyone can say what they think 👍🏻! But to be honest it isn’t going to make any difference, some videos are nearer 30 minutes, some are nearer 50, it depends what I find out and want to discuss for each vehicle, plus show gameplay of each terrain etc, and I’m certainly not editing chunks of information out because a lot of people might want that information so how do I pick what I don’t let people know about? If the videos are too long for you dude then just either fast forward past bits you don’t want to see, or stop watching when you’ve had enough and you’re bored! Or there’s other KZbinrs doing reviews that are shorter like SDONE1 and that TC gaming dude!

The yar is pretty damn nice too, I didn’t use it a whole lot as it was so much slower with the roof rack which I didn’t realise but yeah now with it off, it flies along and does a good job for a scout over some of the tougher terrain 👍🏻

A review for the Hummer is certainly nice, but where's Kodiak C70's review?? I got used to "upgrades and overall, next - full review", but no. Such a disappointment... ( I always wanted to compare the two little 4x4 trucks, ZIKZ vs Kodiak, but seems like nobody wants to do this comparison... So sad. Well, I'll eventually try it myself, but it is a matter of time, because now I only level 6 and don't even have an AWD upgrade for the Chevrolet, not even mentioning the full tuning, so this is waaaay ahead.

I recently added the Kodiak back to my lineup after seeing other reviews. Once you have all the upgrades it's a nice light truck, almost as good as a scout but can't mount an autonomous winch so if you do tip over you can't recover without another vehicle. I did a few missions with it in Zimnegorsk and then got stuck in deep mud inside a base and had nothing to winch against to get out.

@@ziploc2000 , exactly! The main thing is to get it upgraded. Mine is full stock by now and it doesn't move at all, unless it is not asphalt under it's wheels. As soon as it meets mud, it sinks and it's all over. And an AWD upgrade for it lies somewhere in Alaska, so I won't get it soon. Secondly, it's quite useless as a heavy duty truck which is written in his description. How the hell it can be HD, if it only has 4 wheels?? it is a piece of junk while it has RWD only, because instead of 4 rear driving wheels it has only 2. And it can't be equipped with a crane and a loading bed at the same time, while I'm claiming to use manual loading only. It requires from me to always have a crane nearby, or to be equipped with semi-trailers only, because it's the only way it can carry cargo and load itself. The only heavy thing about this truck is it's weight: the stupid pile of metal junk weights more, than a 6x6 IH Fleetstar! WTF?
