One does not simply review a loaf my friend, the loaf reviews you lol! Ok but the reasons are as follows lol: 1. I still have to narrow down about 200 hours of loaf time to some kind of video 2. I’ve been testing the loaf to find its limits, for a review, and so far it’s done everything so I can’t find it’s limit yet lol! 3. I need to get an early short video done one night so I can start on the loaf that same night, and then have the rest of the next day as it’s going to be the most important review and I need to show all its abilities, things I’ve been saving for the loaf review lol! 4. If people were to take a full hit of Loaf first time, people could die! That’s why I’m drip feeding the loaf in to get everyone prepared for what they’re about to see lol! But I will say it should be with in the next week or 2, once I get the time cleared to get working on it I’ll do it! I can’t bloody wait haha I’ve been wanting to review this the most 👍🏻🍞

The problem with treating the Kodiak as a beginner truck is that it's most important upgrade, AWD, isn't available until Alaska when you've already got much better trucks for free.

I agree, by the time you get all the upgrades for a truck it's pretty obselete and you've got bigger and better in the meantime.

Yeah I completely agree! They inadvertently sabotaged it’s actual usefulness in a real playthrough sadly! A bit like how with the twin steer they put it in such a boggy area that it appeared to be terrible and then most people just garaged it or sold it! Fully upgraded the twin steer is a beast! And this is certainly a lot better fully upgraded 👍🏻

I think I've mentioned this a little while ago. The devs got this truck spot on. It's a very bouncy truck. Its main purpose is a box truck, bucket truck (cherry picker), and digger derrick. A lot of electric utilities use to use these trucks and some still do. If you look where the high/low saddle sits on the frame. The saddle sits to far forward on the frame. If you would use this truck with a saddle on the back end of the frame. It would make contact with the trailer jacks everytime you make a L/R turn. This truck is not ment to be used as a semi truck. But they put it in the game so use at your own risk. (Edit: forgot spell check)

The problem with this is that the AWD is over on Mountain River near the 745c, and that is the most important part of it imo

This thing hates deep mud but it's a small enough truck you can skirt around most deep stuff. I used this as my scout after I unlocked it, real scouts stay garaged now.

Yeah deep mud it’s no good, not enough axles to spread the weight 👍🏻! I was surprised how well it did across the mud after the garage bit near the beginning! But deep mud no lol! Yeah I didn’t use this much but I did the same dude, real scouts all stayed in my garage, especially thanks to that roof rack bug! Trucks are good scouts too lol 👍🏻

Jeff Kittell haha I’m the same dude I just can’t help but keep everything pinned even though I know how it will end lol! Part of the fun is the rescue/repair bits! I feel like if I didn’t arrive almost dead, that I could have done more lol! Haha yeah that road is nuts lol I can’t help but keep it pinned and even though half my brain is saying stop, the other half is saying keep it flat out, and I just splat into the wall on that sharp turn on the dam just about every time lol! Then recover and repeat until I gain the willpower to brake eventually lol 👍🏻

Great video, always funny with loaf laughs. Thought I’d just mention, that angle from the tyres up to what ever hits first on a vehicle is called angle of approach or “approach angle” for the front and “departure angle” for the rear. Also I took that freight liner M91 to do one of those huge special trailer missions, long story short, I took a wrong turn and ended up taking it the less appropriate way and found myself navigating more trees than desired, anyway because it’s so short it’s bloody good when you need to jackknife a trailer through some odd places out of desperation haha

lol it was like the "Land of lost trailers" or something. Kind of off-putting in a way I can't quite put my finger on. Would be kind of neat to work that into a custom map and have it be all overgrown and people would stumble into it like "WTF?" and be offered no explanation or nothin'. XD

Saad Drawings haha I’m sorry dude 😂 I kind of agree and usually my OCD levels wouldn’t allow it but honestly I’ve been so flat out making videos I just haven’t got the time! If I need quick cash I’ll do the container contest in drowned lands! If I tried to clear them all I’d have to skip a night of video lol! To be honest it’s to the point now I’m more curious to keep them piling up in the north port bit, but I don’t like the ones in the quarry and would happily delete them and lose the money if I could so it looked tidier, but again the time needed to haul them 1 by 1 to either zimnegorsk or the trailer store mid map would just take longer than I can spare right now lol 👍🏻

4saken404 haha it slightly unsettles me too although by now I’ve crossed the point and just want to see how it looks by the time I’ve reviewed every truck lol! Yeah that would be quite cool man 👍🏻! I said in one of my vids I’d love the original Jurassic Park map and we would have to fix up the visitors centre and fix fences etc! Personally I’d happily see dinosaurs lol but forget them as it’s not really on topic with the game, but an abandoned facility in the wild overgrown hills is 👍🏻

One thing I hate about this game is the fact that the Kodiak and the F750 are both supposed to be class 7 trucks, yet one is a scout and the other is off road, and the Kodiak will smack the F750 around like a punk in game. I feel like they should be closer to one another in performance and in the same class, or there should be a variant of both of them in the other’s class.

I think when you got stuck on 22:15 it was caused by the long ladder frame. I also noticed it was dragging itself on the rocks in quarry and might have hindered its ability to climb because the stone slabs were pushing it down almost to the point it looked like the CAT truck. When you wheelie on hills, can you turn AWD off? From theory you can get more power to the back wheels with it off, but i’m not too sure if the game is that detailed. Great video 👍🏻

I use the C70 as a fuel truck. Instead of a fuel trailer. Pull it behind a more qualified beast. Great for new maps. Once done just recover to garage ... it beats having to tow a fuel trailer back. that's about it for the C70. I really, really wanted to like this truck as it looks so Silverado like.

I too pushed the Chevy aside when I started out due to the lack of early game upgrades, which is a shame, because it could be a perfect early game truck if the AWD were available on Black River or Smithville. It's decent enough, but Like you say, by time I had the last upgrades for this unlocked (I did play all the way through Michigan before going to Alaska) I already had other trucks available and upgraded which were more capable. In terms of the Kodiak's performance (especially considering it's cost), I only have one real issue: why can't it mount a maintenance add-on or crane+bed when it has the same or longer frame length as other trucks which can? This just doesn't make any sense, as the Fleetstar's frame is the same length and can mount bed+crane+cabin protector, as well as the Royal which is significantly shorter but also can mount bed+crane.

Yeah it’s a shame they’ve made the upgrades too far ahead! I think most people just skipped it for something better and more upgradable, sooner! True, I’m going to have a guess and say it’s part game balancing, but also if you park it next to a fleetstar, or most other trucks, the ladder frame chassis is very thin, the other trucks look a lot beefier and also have twin rear axles, so look like they could handle that kind of weight! That said, it can hold a fuel trailer? But yeah it could just be a balancing thing! You can have a maintenance trailer and I’d rather that personally anyway as it’s not weighing the truck down and you can let go of it when you feel like it or at a strategic location and be back to a light weight truck 👍🏻

The Derry Longhorn 3194 got Diff. lock always on with the latest update. It still has the unpowered third axle and the turning circle of a small moon though and it needs a more powerful engine.

Hey dude, I’ve kind of seen and heard little bits but to be honest I’ve barely looked so far! I heard the new map is already on the test server and the ice breaks apparently which is really cool! Hopefully they release it soon and I’ll be sure to make a video that night all about my first impressions of the maps and trucks etc! 19:20 I've found the longer you try, the harder it tries. I got the airplane cargo stuck in the woods. Winching wasn't seeming to work..... Unless you held winch for 30 straight seconds nothing happens. It's crazy how long it finally took. Probably a good minute or two with no movement; then viola.. It pops out

Hey man, like the video. Have you been running into trucks disappearing and weird glitches lately? I'm also on PS4 and I had it delete 5 of my trucks one day and it re-set all of the findable trucks on the map I was on, so I had to go find them again and then recover and sell... Weird stuff. Enjoying the content though man, looking forward to the LOAF review. Horse of a vehicle.

I wish the AWD upgrade for this wasn't buried in Alaska. For most peoples' progression through the game, by the time this truck has AWD and becomes viable, it has been outclassed by several other options. Given that this truck is so capped by its single rear axle, I would probably put the AWD upgrade in Black River, myself.

I’m giving this little 43 inch tyre beast a good look. I really think the off road gearbox is a must with this one. Big rocks are it’s nemesis but there’s some seriously black magic going on with its traction. 👉🏻👌

Hey man I want you to know I downloaded the patch and it still didnt fix the missing winch option in my garage..how can I get ahold of the developer and let them know what's going on? Its missing with every scout and truck! Just simply ain't an option for me still yet!

Hey dude sorry I’ve been falling behind with replies, I think it was yours I was reading when I need to check on my grandparents! So did you actually reset your game or have you still got some kind of current game progress? I seen you say it definitely doesn’t help? It’s really weird, I’ve never seen anyone else say about it, it’s hard to know, back in my day when tomb raider was on ps1 it was just on that and that’s it, only 1 ps1, nowadays the game needs to run on not only ps4, Xbox and pc, but between them, every different operating system and system software update and all sorts so I honestly don’t know but my guess would be some flat out bug, or it doesn’t like something about what software version you have? I honestly don’t know though? Just to let you know if you do still have game progress and haven’t deleted it, you can still play and complete this game with just the stock winch! Don’t get me wrong the better winches are better, but just make sure to use very strong trucks like the Azov 67131 or whatever it’s called, or the Azov 5319, or the Tayga etc and then the winch won’t even be needed much if at all! As for getting hold of the devs, I think the best way would be to go on the snowrunner website or the focus website and report the problem, that’s what I did the other week with the roof rack bug! However I don’t know how quick or if you’ll get a response! If you have and know about twitter or other forms of social media stuff then maybe you can contact them that way and try and get their attention? As I said though it’s such a rare bug I think that I don’t think it’ll be on their radar or particularly high on their list of things to fix! Let me know how you get on dude 👍🏻

@@itsmrlonewolf thanks for the reply man. I'm on xbox one x and my system is fully updated and I did the update to snow*runner that saber released and it still didnt fix the issue! But I completely deleted my entire save file and uninstalled the game and reinstalled on my xbox and it didn't fix the game. So I lost my entire progress of the game and I was DEEP into the game I was rank 30 and only had a hand full of missions to do in Russia that's it! But I can get through the game just fine with the tayga and stock winch it just agravates me that I dont have the winch upgrade option in my garage period! Ill do my best to contact them but this has to be a ultra rare bug and so far man I'm the only player that has this bug as I know of on snow*runner! But I'm just gonna let it go and enjoy the game for what it is winch options or not lol. But thank you for replying to me appreciate it and ill show a screenshot as well of what's going on and upload a video so other people can see the issue

No worries dude I wanted to reply and it’s such an odd bug too! Yeah so I doubt it’s the operating system then? Do you have it on disk or did you download the game? That sucks that you had to try and delete it and lost everything! You know you could have completed it by then though, and there’s new stuff to try on a second playthrough! It’s still not good though! I could survive fine with no truck winch upgrades but that’s my loafs bread and butter lol! I think that’s best dude to try and contact them! It’s such an odd rare bug and you’ve just been really unlucky! I hope it’s an easy fix but if you’ve completely reinstalled etc then I honestly don’t have a clue? Yeah that’s the best way, just enjoy the game regardless and basically it’s like it’s set you on hard mode! At least you have stock winches! If it was none at all that would kill the fun! As it is it’s upped the challenge whether you like it or not, but at least it’s still kind of 95% the same game and process! Just take tandem trucks everywhere so you’ve always got another winch etc on standby incase your stock winch reach or something let’s you down 👍🏻 hope you get it fixed man!

@@itsmrlonewolf thanks I hope I do to but I'm playing on disk and ya know what else is weird its that the UI is different as well like on screen where it shows the fuel and functions and the gears fuel tank suspension when your driving on the lower left hand of screen that is way different than everyone else's to wether its on pc or console! Man I dont get it lol I just dont understand what's going on! But yeah I have extra trucks on each map in case I get stuck or need extra help all because I can't upgrade my winch haha. Its all good though I'm still enjoying the game though its really fun

Lacy Hall yeah that’s crazy man lol it sounds like you’ve got some early version or I don’t even know lol? I don’t know how coding works really but that’s crazy if you’ve got a different UI and HUD to everyone else lol! Have you checked all your menus to see if you have different or extra features? It’s so odd just not having the winches like that? Yeah exactly dude you can still get by and have a good time 👍🏻 that’s the main thing!

Larry Klages haha it’s actually pretty decent for an early truck! Maybe not the best choice for actual early game, a stock Voron AE would eat this alive if it was stock too, but the fact it still felt fun for me even now is a good sign 👍🏻

Not sure dude but it can’t be too long as it’s apparently already on the test server for pc so they’re at the stage of checking things run smooth (for the most part at least) before they release it to everyone 👍🏻

Yeah objectively speaking I agree! The Azov will nail the early game stuff and still be fine late game! However I also do agree with Ted Jones that it’s so slow it’s just too boring for me long term! Not even the trucks fault, it’s the advanced special gearbox (I assume we’re talking about the Azov 64131 or whatever it’s called) I’d love to try the high range in it but anyway, I fully agree on principle, but in reality I’d pick just about anything that’s faster lol even if it’s not as good 👍🏻

Ted Jones yeah same for me although when I first started this game, a slower pace didn’t bother me as much as I didn’t know where I was going etc, now I do know and have been down all the routes loads, I just want to fly everywhere most of the time lol 👍🏻

@@CL-ty6wp Neither is particularly good on harder maps. Frozen Russia still belongs to Vorons and Tayga. If Tatras got low saddle, things would be great.
