Beautifully done. Meticulous as always. I first learned keeping the wing upright, the way you showed it here, from tying the Sparkle Dun ( BRF, Craig Matthews ), Your explanation of how the dubbing allows the wing to fan out to the sides was helpful. Thanks much for posting.

Very interesting tying style. Thanks for sharing your new compara midge 👌🐜

Glad you like it. I was inspired by Wayne Luallen's video. He did it with deer hair. But whole idea of comparadun comes from Craig Matthews i think.

Great looking fly Vladimir. Learned something new from this video as always with your videos. Gonna try some of these today with that new wing and body technique. I needed this fly the other day on the stream I was fishing for there was a nice midge hatch going on and the fish didn't want nothing I was throwing at them. Thanks.

Great fly for the giveaway box! I would continue using the whip finish tool. Finger style seems to be a step backwards. Nice fly!!! Love the nod to Craig Mathews with the wing method.

you must have HUGE midge flies in your area.also some zap-a-gap before wrapping mylar/tinsel will stop slippage
@Oholisfliesandfishing2 жыл бұрын
Ones i have observed lately are big and fat. 7-8mm i think... There are also much smaller around of course. I don't know if you stayed but i did use superglue. This one dries clear. And price is feaction of zap-a-gap... I also use this one instead of UV very often Cheers Vladimir
