I love horror games set in arctic landscapes. Great gameplay! ❤❤❤👍👍👍

Yeah, artic horror always reminds me of The Thing. Plus it's nice when horror games don't rely on darkness to create atmosphere.

Nothing like playing a game set in a cold environment while you're under a heat advisor.

I always loved winter/Antarctic settings in horror. I honestly think in an ironic way that’s why I wanna live somewhere cold lmfaooo

hell yes, nothing better than a horror in a winter freezing environment. I usually imagine Siberia Russia, isolated and in post apocalyptic setting with barely anybody alive. You walk around massive living complexes, everything dead and frozen, yet something stalks you...

Why do people imagine Siberia as some hellscape? It has beautiful summer. It's winter is no worse than in Sweden, Finland or Canada...
@UniDeathRaven2 ай бұрын
@@lelxrv Maybe because it is most absolute freezing hell hole on this planet? Ya know for a reason? Living there is not living, people just exist in time, lol
@goblinrat6119Ай бұрын
@@UniDeathRaven And yet, people do live there. Some 36 million people, actually. It's a vast amount of land, with a great deal of life. There's many cities and towns there. People live normal, everyday lives there. It's not nearly as fantastically horrifying as popular culture would have you to believe. It's only some parts of it that tend to get real damn cold. And even those mostly for short periods in the depths of winter. Much of Siberia, even in winter, manages to not be notably colder than, as pointed out, the Nordics for example.

i really liked the game atmosphere and it is very nice of the freezing mechanic to not be very annoying but just part of the ambience thought the monster looks silly as hell at the end, kinda looks like Jeremy from smiling friends

Anyone played Kholat? It's set in the Far North of Russia - based on the Dyatlov Pass incident. Looked really interesting, so I got it during a Steam Sale. Started out fine, but deteriorated quickly. Gameplay was awful (for me), map hard to read, instructions unclear, and save points few and far between. I thought I had it figured out, and was making progress, when I got trapped behind a boulder, and it was certain death if I left cover. And ages from the last save point. So I gave up, and never went back. Usually I'd watch a Walkthrough under those circs. but I was just fed up with the whole thing.
@justanewbie9722 ай бұрын
To say the least, it's an immersive game, making the player experience what those survivors went through 😂

@@justanewbie972 Absolutely! I was blinded by the snow, had no idea where to go next... Unlike the students in the Dyatlov Pass incident, I had the luxury of turning off the game! ;-)

And you've lost absolutely nothing, lol. The game's pure garbage. Not only it's just a walking simulator gameplay-wise, but the story's even worse, since it was written by a bunch of deal-does who didn't study the incident at all and just basically wanted to cash in on it.

Great game!! The endings are very interesting. The game should be continued. I wonder if the game's creator was inspired by MGS1 (snow and a silenced SOCOM with laser) and MGSV (intro to the mission inside the helicopter with particles in the air).

Hi! I'm not sure if the dev is planning a sequel, but it's likely he's do another game in the same universe. There are actually two other games already set in the same universe - Re:Surs and Plastomorphosis (if you fancy check in them out). :)

Neat. Too bad so much of the game revolves around the Wacky Murder Pizza Guy, though--I personally found everything about him to be too silly to fit with the rest of the game while simultaneously not silly enough to be actually funny.
