As a septic pumping business and my husband being in the pumping business forever. Make sure you’re not putting any grease or oil of any kind down the drain when you wash your dishes. Wipe your pans out if you’ve been frying something that’ll help a lot.

Off grid living appears not to be an “easy” life but rewarding because you get more control of your life. Necessities dictate and not a “SSOB”. Y’all stay warm. 😊

Mr Jay, Your vent pipe, needs a vent cap. Just to keep rodents and or insects from gong in, and finding their way up into your drains.

When you were showing those beautiful morning shots, thanks for not including some stupid looped music, like almost everyone else does. I very much enjoyed those shots.
@jimdelong949Ай бұрын
In my experience with plumbing I've always found that a vent pipe is needed. I'm glad yours is working for you. You may have seen that Cajun Country Living just removed a 3 yr old pad 11/2 thick that they poured over grass. It was good all the way through. Looks like those lean-tos on the pole barn really came in handy for storage. We got our first snow here in northeast Missouri 4 inches on November 30 I know that's nothing compared to what you get and the Lake Erie area just got. Do you plan on getting any chickens or any other livestock at any time. I know a homesteaders work is never done. But, watching you is so much fun. It may take a week or, a month or two. But, you get it done.

The homestead looks very good. Not to make extra work for you, but, you may want to take the blower and try blowing some of the leaves off the road before it snows. Just to cut down on how slippery the road gets when the leaves get wet. Stay warm, stay safe and God Bless! Get the fire roaring and sit down and relax!

Thank you so much J&J for giving so much time to You Tube & making these videos. The shots of the sun going down across the landscape & reflecting on to the cabin were magnificent. I love that your cabin looks like it's been there forever., weathered over the years. Each season brings its own beautiful look to the property that quite captivating . Winter preparation is a lot of hard work, but I'm sure that is true of every season. Will you survive? Of course, you've already survived the past few winters... Great video!!

I enjoy your videos. You guys do a lot of work out there off grid just to survive it's not easy peasy but in the long run it's better for you. I think the world of you too never a dull moment. Hopefully winter is not going to be too bad this year but of course you're further up north and I am renters haven't been like they used to be when I was growing up we used to get snow up to my hips like you said it snows for a while and it stops for a few weeks and it comes back again that's how it's been up here in central New York Justin it stays colder longer even in the beginning of Spring Time I think Mother Nature is going through menopause LOL. Anyways have a nice week

Now that you have a good solar system, perhaps you can afford a way to keep your water from freezing. Maybe a small aquarium heater? Might take some fine tuning.

Jenn go to a Naturopathic Doctor or a Functional Medicine Doctor. They will tell you if you have nutritional deficiencies or a mold or yeast issue they will know it. Your regular doctor will give you an antibiotic which is a synthetic petroleum drug. And it might help temporarily but not permanently.
