Not only that, when you are shooting manual, you have a greater focus range on the lens, with SIGMA its a very short focal range, and you can easily get out of focus. Great lens SIGMA< but Rokinon for filmmaking, focus pulling, focus racking - Rokinon all the way

2 seconds in and I literally outburst "good god almighty!" Sold my 24 (non-cine version) to get the sigma...just picked up bmpcc, now I shall live with regret....stunning, beautiful best rokinon short ever!!!

Haha, well thanks! The rokinons are obviously not the highest quality lenses made, but they produce a pretty decent image.

Can’t use a speedbooster with a lens that has a MFT mount, so that’s the only option. Appreciate you checking it out!

If you purchase the MFT Rokinon Cine lenses you won’t need a speedbooster. I use the EF mount lenses so I can use them with my Canon cameras and I can use a speedbooster on my BMPCC4K, giving me shallower depth of field and more stops of light.

Thanks for watching! The Rokinon Cine lenses definitely get soft once you drop below f/2, but in a pinch I’ve used them below that. I usually try to keep my aperture around 2-2.5 to keep a sharp image. They’re awesome lenses for the price.

This was the Commlite .71x EF to MFT speedbooster. Cheaper option but it does well. Now I prefer the Metabones XL .64x speedbooster.

@@FlatlandFilmsLLC great! 1. The Rokinon Cine lenses get so much crap on the internet but the video looks so sharp and crisp? Did you do something special because I was planing to get a set of Cine DS Rokinon but the reviews were alight saying they were very soft and you'd want something "better" 2. Was this shot in Braw? 12:1, 8:1 compression? Just learning about codecs and what the 4k offers. 3. Was this color graded or just transformed in to Rec 709. Im obsessed because the footage look so cinematic and am trying to figure out how much this was due to the 4k camera and how much was your color grading skill. 4. Do you a big rig? Most of these KZbinrs build a rig which brings the price up around more pricier cinema cameras and thats why im stuck trying to pull the trigger. thanks so much for your time and that beautiful video! Cant wait to see more!
