There is 8 girls in my family and all of our name and our parents name start with B. So we were always called the Bee family. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because I was born on Thanksgiving. Keph the stitching is wonderful! I start from the top left 90% of the time. I like to work down the project, so that my hand does not rest or rub on completed stitches. Important to always take your hoop off when finished stitching, it helps to prevent leaving hoop marks. Also important to always wash your hands before stitching. We have natural oils in our hands that can also leave marks… I am sad to say this has happened to me. The most important part of cross stitching, is to always make sure you cross the X the same way, and to enjoy the stitching! Do what works best for you! Love the Bees and the Pumpkins. I prefer to go down. Sometimes I start in the middle and work up and left. But usually, the top left corner and work down because I think the stitching is disturbed less with handling. Also, I've tried Thread Heaven for YEARS (when I remembered) because of knotting. But Brenda, of Brenda and Laura, started using bees wax and is thrilled with how nicely the thread works up. She mostly uses silks. Well, I use mostly cotton floss and knotting has been a real problem this year. Not sure why. But I found I had some Lori Holt bees wax in a drawer and started using it last week and I am sold. I was always concerned about gunky stuff on the thread. Yes, the thread does feel more stiff, but not gloppy, and even if I get a knot, it comes out so easily. Whatever you try, Keph, best wishes! And yes, the best purple stitching I have ever seen!

I totally get what you are saying about the Met gala and it feels like people are “showing off” their good deeds. There is a quote in the Bible about doing good deeds in secret, as the Lord knows you are doing good deeds without having to be shown you are doing good deeds. (That is a paraphrase, please don’t come after me for not quoting it verbatim). Still prefer reading over Audioboohs. However, I’m liking having my Kindle rather than an actual book. I’m trying to be a minimalist in other areas than cross stitch. 😊 Great work on the WIPS! See you next video.
