In order to keep full creative control and ensure that the fans receive the most benefit from the Snyder cut, Zack Snyder refused to be paid for finishing his Justice League.
According to Zack Snyder, this film contains no shot filmed by Joss Whedon.
Director Cameo: Zack Snyder appears in the background of the coffee shop Lois Lane visits early on in the film
Steppenwolf was entirely redesigned for this film as Snyder intended to.
Even his voice (Ciarán Hinds) seems more intimidating and distorted than his previous voice in Justice League (2017).
Billy Crudup appears in the film as Henry Allen the father of Ezra Miller's Barry Allen/The Flash. Crudup also portrayed Dr. Manhattan/Jon Osterman in Snyder's adaptation of Watchmen (2009). The angel statue seen at the back of the graveyard, in which Cyborg digs up a grave is the same statue seen during the Comedian's funeral scene in Watchmen .
Cinematic debut of J'onn J'onnz/Martian Manhunter, one of the seven original members of the Justice League of America in the DC Comics.
During the epilogue we find out the scientist helping Silas Stone is Dr. Ryan Choi, expert in nanotechnology. Ryan Choi goes on to become The Atom in the comics.
Epilogue Knightmare: Mera, Deathstroke, and Joker join Batman, Flash, and Cyborg as Superman succumbs to the anti-life equation; Wonder Woman and Aquaman were previously seen dead in Cyborg's vision.
Superman hates Batman for having failed to save Lois Lane. Flash is able to go back and warn Bruce that "Lois Lane is the key" so Batman saves her, sacrificing himself. Lois and Clark have a baby they name Bruce, who goes on to become the next Batman.
the Justice League attempts to save the world from the catastrophic threat of Darkseid (Ray Porter), Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds), and their army of Parademons.
Thousands of years ago, Darkseid and his legions of Parademons attempt to conquer Earth using the combined energies of the three Mother Boxes. The attempt was foiled by a unified alliance of the Olympian Gods, Amazons, Atlanteans, and humans, with assistance from a Green Lantern. After the alliance repelled Darkseid's army, the Mother Boxes were separated and hidden in different locations. In the present, Superman's death[b] has triggered the Mother Boxes' reactivation
Victor reveals that Silas used the Mother Box to rebuild his body after a car accident in which Victor's mother was killed. He also reveals that the Mother Boxes are "change engines" that unfaltering enforce the will of their master, destroying or restoring to life without bias. The group decides to use the Mother Box to resurrect Superman to help them fight off Steppenwolf's invasion. Superman's body is exhumed and placed in the amniotic fluid of the genesis chamber in the Kryptonian scout ship kept in the S.T.A.R. Labs

I didn't think it lived up to all the hype. Maybe if it came out first, I might have a slightly different opinion. I also wouldn't have thought that the origin story of Wonder Woman would rank better than this Justice League but it was in my book. It was 10 times better. Good commentary. Take care.

We had such high hopes for Justice League when it first came out and were disappointed. So we were hoping this would be great. We don't have a subscription to HBO Max but will probably get it for a while to watch this. Glad to hear that it is worth watching and better than the Whedon version. But 4 hours and no films following up on this story in the future doesn't sound great. I don't know why DC can't get it together. Thanks for sitting through the 4 hours and telling us all about it!
