At this point I'm not sure if Rudy's just constantly remodeling his office, or if he lives out of random AirBNBs and just brings the whiteboard with him.

Big S/O to my boy Rusty for doing a much better job of not interrupting Nick. Another excellent pod as usual. Much love and appreciation to the four of you. Keep up the great work.🙏🏻

You guys have become very good at doing this show together in my opinion. As the weeks go on I think the quality of the product increases

I LOVE Rudy's point about making the IST's groups into the divisions. It'll encourage better play since there'll be less travel required 👀
@gugga2745Күн бұрын
I think it just shouldn’t have groups or conference restrictions and would be infinitely more fun and capable of upsets if it was single elimination. Imagine like prime super team spurs wemby getting bounced by like a 15 win wizards team

@ Definitely a good idea. They've shown last season that the schedule can be somewhat flexible with teams out of the tournament so that's definitely a possibility. Only issue is that since it's so early in the season, seeding would be a bit funky but yeah that'd be cool

I remember watching this when you guys first started, and something just didn't click for me. Don't know if it's adding Nick, if it's just you guys evolving as creators and people, or some kind of chemistry thing, probably all of those things, but the pod is just so great right now. Great content all around.

A friend stated that if they wanted the In Season Tournament to be like serious. An idea was the final 3 or 2 teams getting extra wins. 1st Place gets 3 additional wins in the win column 2nd place gets 2 and 3rd (have a 3rd place match) gets one additional win or 1st gets two win and 2nd gets one win (since they have to play an additional game more than everyone else. It would impact tie breakers and seeding at the end of the year and it could totally influence some serious basketball in November/December.

While I don’t think the NBA Cup is going to be that significant, but it’s definitely a lot of fun. What I think would be cool though is the team that’s the first to win the nba cup, have the best regular season record, and win the championship. The nba cup by itself might not be significant but winning all three would definitely be a little more special.

Bro named his top 6 east teams and omitted the cavs who are 13-0. Ok bro

No one is going to respect this Cavs team the way they deserve. Fk em. Guess we will just have to go win it all.

My thoughts on the in season tournament are as follows: there should be a financial incentive for players, even people who make as much as NBA players do like money and want more of it. In addition, if you win it, you gain any forfeited picks in the upcoming draft, AND you can convert any number of your second round picks into one first round pick, starting with your highest pick. For example: one second rounder becomes pick 31, which will be treated as a first rounder, two seconds gets you 30, and so on. Is it balanced at all? Probably not, no, but it's fun damn it

I cant see Westbrook getting the rebounds as advantageous because Steven Addams catching the board and passing to Russ in transition is much faster than waiting for him to get the rebound and dribble the ball

Could be cool if the in season tournament winner gets to choose 11:40 like two of the teams in their group next year or something then we get a bit more beef and rivalry in the tournament

Do you guys think an In-Season Tournament MVP will ever be worth as much as or greater than a Scoring Title in terms of accomplishments? Or do you think it will always be viewed as negligible, kind of similar to All Star MVPs nowadays?

7:40 I hate discourse like this that acts like any team can win if they “want to”, perpetuates the notion that nba players somehow “aren’t trying”
