MANGA SPOILERS Eren’s line at the beggining ’’Armin, it’s as you said… I’m a slave to freedom” was not present at the manga, which means they’re planning to extended/expanded some things in the ending. It was also leaked that the runtime for the episode wil be 1h 30min, meaning they have even more than enough time to extend everything.

Been really sick for the past year.. had to leave my job pretty much out of money gonna have to file for bankruptcy and SSI and the doctors still can’t figure out why my body is just straight up dying (some think it was the “shot” as some of their patients are dealing with similar baffling issues but who knows) the only thing keeping me going is wanting to see this end.. I'm glad I read ahead in the manga instead of waiting around for the anime. The whole thing (scheduling-wise anyway) has been a complete mess since their move to MAPPA. I think it would have been possible to do a full 24 episode season 4 starting with Marley then ending with Eren starting the Rumbling. Then a 12 episode final season concluding the manga. I wonder what happened that made such a mess of those plans.

I am still fine woth the priginal ending, and still can't get how an alernate ending would make such a difference anyway that it will get all the viewers generally see that change as an "improvement". The best way the anime could do is give us more of voicing out of Eren's piece of mind on how he end up chosung the ending he chose . Since despite the reasons and explanation that Eren gave away, things are still left out vaguely enough that an expansion of those seems fairly viable. Like I think the readers got polarize by that factor being vague since for people who don't like how it all ends up basically resorting to "is this really Eren's endgame" Even if people don't end up not liking the endgame

Rumor is light from death note became a shinigami …. Once you use the death note no worrying about hell or heaven I wonder if they will ever do a spin off would be soo cool to se light is a shinigami 😂 just like ryuk having to put in work. Just a theory though but a good one I stumbled into.

I honestly didnt care about the ending. I was too much in a bad place in my life because of a chapter of a different manga i misunderstood gave me crippling depression for more than a year and made me attempt self deletion twice so I was numb and apathetic to everything at the time.

Eren "im a slave to freedom" as he stops the rumbling for a random 2000 year old bimbo giving up on his freedom i can understand defending the ending when it first released as isayama was under pressure and low on time to have everything wrapped up perfectly but this anime adaptation hasn't fixed any of the issues and is yet again making more contradictions two months out from the final episodes release, how can you defend this its clearly not a time issue so whats the defense this statement goes completely against eren stoping the rumbling because if he was truly a slave to freedom he wouldn't stop until he got it.

I mean lot of people alreay knew Eren was slave to his freedom from the moment he confronted Armin, Mikasa at the round table. Eren didn't stop the rumble until Zeke and him were decapitated. As he told Armin, I don't know why, but I want to do it. If you didn't stop me, I would flatten the earth.

Spoilers, but he doesn't stop until he is killed. That's what people seem to miss. Eren was going for it all, he just wasn't going to kill his friends, he didn't want to take their freedom away.

I think the manga ending is slowly growing on me and I dislike it less than before. And i forgot the reason, but will come back to it. That being said, it still has some issues. One thing they could fix in the anime version is where Eren breaks down like a little b1*%ch. If they can just tone that down a bit and make him a bit more stoic while still expressing regret, then I think it would go a long way towards making things better.

I kind of like the addendum ending because it proves that Eren’s reign of terror accomplished *nothing* in the long run for humanity: all he did was change the weapons that humans use to war with one another. At the same time, I kind of hate it, because it means that Armin and company sort of kind of failed in the long run, maybe, I’m not sure, I kind of have mixed feelings on this point. Again, I think it’s good that the addendum ending exists because it proves that Eren’s “Solution” of using violence only begat more violence (yeah, *shocker*, I know).
