@@sarahc2401 I've been watching him in this video and in Home Free's Unchained Melody (not Austin's, the one that just dropped 2022) and my gaze keeps straying to his hands. Very sexy. Never been so attracted to a man's hands before. It's usually the mouth. But Austin has it there too. (I miss Chris.)

Song is from the Broadway/movie "Les Miserables", a solo sung by the play's main character Jean Valjean about the young man, Marius that he considers to be like a son, who has gone to join in the revolts in the streets of Paris.
@patriciamcl542 жыл бұрын
The irony is that he knows that Marius will take away his adopted daughter, who is all that he has in life. Btw maybe Broadway in the US, but written by French composers and first presented in English on London, with the great Irish tenor Colm Wilkinson.

That was very beautiful. Austin has a great voice for musical theatre songs. Glad all the guys have creative outlets for solo projects. But as much as I enjoy all their solo stuff, my favorites are still when they are all together as a group as Home Free with Adam Rupp. And I hope that never changes.
@patriciamcl542 жыл бұрын
Austin has said that he never wants to leave HF, but in the next breath that he would love to have a Broadway contract for however long, and this video is surely a calling card. I don't know whether he can do both. Meanwhile his gf wants them to leave Nashville with his musical friends and contacts and buy a farm. She's a sweet person but needs to think for the both of them.

@patriciamcl54 Жыл бұрын
He would have done 10 years ago but decided he would rather flog around the country on a bus. He received offers after the band was on the SingOff but turned them down. He had after all trained to go on Broadway and is a fine actor, with only limited scope for his talents and trapped in the country music silo, but that was what he wanted.

So good to see you again! Isn't this just the most lovely emotional thing? It's a famous musical theater song for sure and Austin knows how to do that so well. His voice is just incredible how he sings words and puts emotion just dripping from each word! Love it. Tears in Heaven is incredible too if you haven't heard him do that. Take care!

This song is a very famous one in musical theater. Austin has changed this song slightly, especially the last note. And Austin was changing the timing as he performed, so Sebastian was watching Austin to tell when to play what on the piano. great reaction!!

Austin's solo version is far better. The HF version is dreary and chained to an unsuitable doo-wop rhythm. Austin's is fluid and elegant and a real pleasure to listen to, which is why his has had almost 14 million views.

No, not the French Revolution. Les Mis is about the Paris Uprising several decades later. Valjean does not love Marius but his adoptive daughter does, and he feels such compassion for the boy that he puts his own life in danger saving his life.

@CabalisticSpecies2 жыл бұрын
Always? That’s a stretch, I didn’t know it was the last note of the song or what was coming next as I’ve never heard it before, didn’t realise the song would be done half way through as I didn’t know the end of the video was just Austin talking so I paused when I felt like I had something to say 🤷🏽♂️
