Wow, just wow. I can understand why you were so moved by the magnificence of those craggy mountains and views, especially with the autumn colours. Beautiful film and editing work too. You have captured the Dolomites superbly. I didn't know much about this region. It is certainly spectacular. Seems more German than Italian, with the architecture and place names though. I gather it is still part of Italy that was formerly German or Austrian? Not being one for heights, bits were challenging for me to watch, but glad I persisted. Nature is just so amazing and the geography and geology here incredible. Geez it looked cold though, all that snow and ice and freezing super deep lakes fed by glaciers, certainly conveyed it being freezing. I think my very favourite part was you two in the cafe having your Aperol spritzes. I'm sure I have seen movies set in exactly that spot. Maybe one with Audrey Hepburn in it. That final scene up the top with the van way below was so cool too. You were both so brave to fly down from the mountain, but hiking without poles and all that ice and snow, was probably more dangerous. I'm pretty sure I will never make it to the Dolomites in this lifetime, so thanks for taking me along for the ride!
@nigelandsueadventuresКүн бұрын
Thanks so much Fiona! Not sure if you saw our last video - we explained there that part of the Dolomites is in a region called South Tyrol which was part of the Austrian-Hungarian empire until 1919. Hence the Germanic influence. It’s such a beautiful part of the world, this was a big edit and I’m glad we’ve got this to look back on forever!
@fionaludbrook81938 сағат бұрын
@@nigelandsueadventures Yeah I did, Was not sure whether the previous episode was also the Dolomites, Just the time gap I guess. So enjoy your videos. Thanks so much to the time and effort you put in to producing them!

Thanks for another great vid of your Euro adventures. Would be great to see a video on the differences between vanning in Europe v Australia. Could cover availability of free camps, ease of stealth camping, toll roads, availability of water, ideal campervan size and make for Europe, ease of finding laundromats, are there any differences in how you would build a Euro van v Aussie van etc. This could be a useful video for Aussies wanting to tour Europe and also for Europeans wanting to travel Oz
